Just Some Of What I Have Been Doing

Hi Everyone!!

Well, did everyone watch the Game??

I usually do but….

Since my beloved Steelers weren't playing and since I have so many 1/2 done projects…

I didn't watch.

The only reason I would've been watching was for the commercials and I can watch the good ones on Youtube tomorrow. ;)

I cant show you everything I have done lately because some of it has been for my Trashy Partner and I don't want her to see. Hehee!

But here is some of what I have been doing this weekend…

Remember my basket and chair I got at GW last week?

Well, I dipped my basket a few times in an aging mixture and it does look better.

I may dip it a few more times to get it even darker though.

But here is what it looks like now…

It is hard to tell in the photo because of the flash but it truthfully is darker.  I promise!! :)

And remember the ugly blue wood chair??

Here is what I did with it…

I really didn't know what I was doing but I think it turned out pretty cute.

I consider it a trial run before attempting to transform an actual ladder back!! LOL!!

Here are a few more pictures of it.

I also did a redo on a little bench I purchased from OTP a few months ago.

I would show you a B4 photo but I wasn't thinking and deleted it awhile back!! :(

It was a red bench and across the top it said, LOVE.

I repainted it back, then sanded and stained it.

Then a tacked a piece of an antique coverlet to the top.

I also did some tweaking to a doll I made.  I wasnt happy with her coloring.  So I did some more aging on her and now I think she looks much better.

And lastly, one more little project I did.

I made more grubby candles.

And that has pretty much been my weekend.

I've been crafting away the last few days.

I have really enjoyed myself.

I wish I could show you what else I've made and done, but you will have to wait until after the swap.  Hopefully Anne will show you. :)

One last thought.

Tomorrow Southern IL is reported to be getting a severe winter storm with even more snow and ice.

I really hope it doesn't happen.

I'm not in the mood for more of this crap! ;l

We never have weather like we have had this year.

I don't know what is going on but I really wish it would stop.

I wouldn't mind it as much if my job was like school and we closed for bad weather.

But unfortunately it doesn't!

So come Tuesday I will have to get out in it, no matter what.

Okay, that's it from me.

Hubby just headed off to bed so I'm going to go get caught up on some of TiVo shows.

Until Next Time…

Take Care and Prim Filled Blessings to you ALL!!

Love your little chair and the bench too! You have been busy with projects. Hope you dont get too much snow...we woke up to a few inches this morning but not too serious.

I love all of your makeovers! I really love the bench w/the foot all you did was paint it black, sand & stain? I have a chair that I painted black a long time ago but it needs some sanding & staining so I think I might have to add that to my list of projects. I hope you don't get much snow...we are under a winter weather advisory here in Southern Indiana but I hope we don't get much. Well be safe tomorrow on your way to work. Have a good monday!

Looks like you had a very productive weekend. Everything turned out great!

Ok... You and Dan are both in Herrin??? I was going to ask which part of Southern Illinois because I grew up and lived in Chester. Use to make many trips over your way. I remember going to the Egyptian Drive-In.... Now I live about 10 minutes from Cape Girardeau, MO and we go across the bridge to Carbondale at least once a month or so. Small world....

Take Care,

Tammy your makeovers are fabulous. That chair looks so cute. I love the little stool that goes with your other chair. The little piece of coverlet just makes it. I definitely like your doll they way it is now. She looks nicely aged. Good job on the candles. I haven't mastered the art of grubbyness yet. My candles look more like a mess than grubby. Still I keep trying.
Enjoy your week.

Hi Tammy,

I thought maybe you were going to paint and put fabric on that chair!!! ;-) I love it! It turned out great!
Love the bench with the coverlet too, and your prim dollie looks just perfect!

They are calling for 4-5 inches here from the storm coming..YUCK!!! The weather has been more severe here too in KY this winter. I don't like it!

Have a great day!

Hi Tam. Love the way your makeovers came out. Love the doll !
I found a ladderback chair i'd love to try and do a makedo chair with, but going to have to wait for warmer weather. Calling for 4 to 8 inches here in my neck of the woods and of course I go bacl to work tomm. at 7 a.m. =( I hate driving in that stuff. How cool that you and Dan are in the same area !!!! Small world huh ?
