Yeah Baby!! 60 Degree’s And…

Spring Fever is running rapid  in me today!!!

What an absolutely beautiful day it is today in Southern Illinois.

And I thought yesterday was nice, when it hit 56 degrees.

I was so bummed though because I was stuck at work. And through the window I watched the temperature sign rise and rise.  All the while knowing that by the time I got off the sun would be sitting and the temperature would be falling.

But then today…. It is Noon and 60 degrees outside!!!

I never thought I would feel the warmth again.  This has been such an unusual cold winter here.  And I've seen enough snow to last my life time.

But could it be true….

Could Spring really be on its way.

I better not get to excited though….

reports are saying by Monday it will be in the 20’s again!

I'm not going to worry about that today though.  I'm just going to take in sun shine and warm temps while they last!!

And keep telling myself, YES Spring is on its way!

I also wanted to tell you all about a wonderful giveaway I won yesterday.

I was lucky enough to win the 2nd set of Holli's ~ Where The Rooster Crows herb boxes.

I will be sure to show them off as soon as they arrive.

Thanks so much Holli! I am thrilled to have won.

This week I mailed off my goodies for Ann, my partner in Char’s Trashy Swap.

Ann received her goodies yesterday.

To see what I sent her click here.

Thanks so much to Char for putting together this oh so fun swap.

And thanks so much to Ann for being such an amazing partner.

Here are a few things I made this week.

First, I made a couple prim pantry cakes…

001 (2)

002 (2)

This was my first time making these…

I think they turned out pretty good.

I also made some bowl filler salt dough cookies.

The pineapples turned out the best, but I think the wax may be a little too thick on the crows.

To learn how to make your own salt dough cookies please visit Colleen's ~ And Baby Makes Five blog.

And that has pretty much been my week.

Once again nothing too exciting going on here.  But I do appreciate you all so much for stopping by and visit me.

Hopefully one day I’ll have something really exciting to share with all of you!! Hehee!

I wouldn't hold my breath though!! :)

Until Next Time…

Take Care and Prim Filled Blessings To You ALL!!!

Tammy, when you get enough of that warm tempature soaked up can you send some here? It was 2 degrees when I left for the store at 10:00 this morning! It's a nice day out but probably not more than 10 degrees now. I think your pantry cakes turned out well. I really like the crow fillers, and I don't think they look too thick, in the picture anyway! Have a great warm sunny day!

I mailed your boxes today! And you may not think you have anything interesting to share but I love looking at what everyone is making and doing. It all inspires me...maybe someday it will inspire me enough to do something!! Have a great weekend.

It was beautiful yesterday, wasn't it? My husband had to go for a drive and we actually ended up over in Carbondale. You guys definitely had more piles of snow on the ground than we did in Cape Girardeau.

I love the pantry cake! I want to make some one of these days when I can actually find a mold to use.

Take Care,
