Mustard Yellow Corner Table Update

Hello Everyone!

First, I want to thank everyone for all their kind and very sweet comments about my new furniture and my updated living room photos.  It really means a lot.

(If you haven't seen it please check 2 blog posts down. )

I think we all know how good it feels to share something we are proud of (or love) and have others out there with the same style in their heart who can appreciate it.

I love being able to get on here and share with all my prim pals. I equally love looking through all my favorite blogs and seeing others new goodies and/or updates.

Oh my…. what did I do before there was internet!! LOL!!

Now on to my little mustard yellow table.

I took your advice and tried aging the yellow more on the table.

I do agree it looks better than it did before, so thank you so much for the suggestion.

Part of me is still thinking about painting it black, but I like this too, so I cant decide. :|

I think I will live with it awhile before making any final decisions.

Here are some B4 and After photos of the table.

The yellow looks more aged and muted now, even more so in person than in the pictures.

Hummm… in the photos in is hard to tell much of a difference.  But I promise there is one!! :)

The bright golden look of the yellow is completely gone now.

True mustard paint shade now.  It actually matches the lamp almost perfectly. ;)

Time to go do another load of laundry and pack the suit cases for our trip tomorrow.

See you all Monday!!

Until then….

Take Care Everyone!!

Personally, I LOVE THAT MUSTARD TABLE!!!...I wouldn't change a thing with it!...I like different "tones" and "hues" within the home...I mean, look at the antique "torquoise" color out there! is so bright compared to what we are used to in "primitive" colors!...but, it demands ATTENTION when it is placed in a room...and I love that about it!!!

Oh you got to keep it this muted color. The whole corner setting is wonderful. I can imagine an early settler sitting in the black chair stitching by the light of her dim lamp a top the old handed down mustard table as she watches her little babe sleeping in the prim red cradle her husband made. All in front of the quilt grandma made them as a wedding gift. LOL! Be safe!

Love the aged look of the table. Black is a wonderful prim color, but I also agree that we need punches of more attention-grabbing accent colors as well. Variety!

Have a great little trip...

If it is more muted mustard then I think it would look great like that...and now it matches your lamp shade.
It looks good and stands out with the quilt or whatever you have in the background too.
I have a real pale green end table in my Pioneer room and WHEN we get moved (next spring I think I might try and paint it mustard and then maybe try a crackle in a few places...Not sure what to paint under the mustard but you did make me put my thinking cap on.
Your whole house is beautiful..Can't wait to get a different house and decorate it :)

Love that you kept it mustard! I really like the warm tone it gives off now!
Keep it this way for a while like you said, then when you feel like you need something new, Paint it!

Have fun and be safe!
