Oh What A Beautiful Day!!!

Good Afternoon all!!

It is an absolutely beautiful day here in Southern IL.

The sun is shinning and the temp’s are in the low 80’s.

Thought I would jump on for a quick post.

No sorry, still no furniture. LOL!!

It may be next week before the two pieces come in.

And they still haven't gotten in the fabric for the second chair yet.  So I'm not sure when that will be in.

Oh Well, Good things come to those who wait, I guess.

When I was in the Rabbit Patch this week, I brought along my camera.

I'm always talking about this wonderful shop, so I thought I would show it off.

There are so many fabulous goodies here that it is hard to take it all in.

In fact, I've been in this store a zillion times (okay, maybe not a zillion but A LOT) and when I was loading these photos I noticed items even I missed.

So let go walk through the Rabbit Patch Cottage in Herrin, IL (West Cherry Street).

See that green cabinet back there…

It’s mine.   hug

Mellissa is holding it for me until my other furniture comes in.

I Love it.  Here is a closer shot of it.

This photo is more true to the correct paint color…

Okay, now on to the other goodies…

015 (2)

016 (2)

I also LOVE this!!…

I LOVE this lamp and the two sheep!!

And that twig wreath.  (How did I miss that!)

Another awesome cabinet!!

I love the mustard yellow paint on this one.

I love this little table!!…

Don’t remember seeing that glass jar while I was in there either.  I think I need to go back and get that!

I love this chair too!! So neat!

Yum!! Firkins!!!

I think my stack could use a few more!!

Yet another wonderful light and adorable sheep!

Oh, I like that little bench too!!

Yep, Love this lamp too!!

And that is just a taste of what this wonderful store has.

As hard as it may be to believe….

There is still A LOT more that I didn't get photos of.

So if you live near or are traveling through Southern IL., make sure you stop in Herrin and visit the Rabbit Patch!! :)

Trust me… You won’t be disappointed!

I also wanted to show off this old copper kettle I got at an antique store a few days ago. It cost me $10 bucks.

It was really tarnished when I bought it.

But I love that it had its original wooden handle and knob.

So I bought it hoping it would clean up.

And with a little Brasso and some elbow grease ';)

Here it is now….

Doesn't even look like the same piece, huh??

I really like it!! :)

I’ve been working on my porch the past couple of days.

My ferns are in and hung.  Plus I have added some more flowers.  Still more to plant and pot though.

I didn't take any photos.  I'm going to try to hold off until I get it finished.

Plus, I need to mow and weed eat!!  oye

Love that green cabinet!! I'm going to have to check how far that shop is from my home. I've been looking for an excuse to take a road trip. Are there any quilt shops in the area? That would be a bonus. Thanks for sharing.
