Christmas Decor 2010 ~ Part 3 ~ The Foyer

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Before posting my Foyers Christmas decor I want to send a huge Thank you out to Jeanne!!

I was the lucky winner of her giveaway.

Here is what I won.

A bag of my Early Spice Ball Ornaments and a sweet little darken Beeswax Sheep Ornament.

I borrowed the photo from her blog but I will be sure to show off my goodies when they arrive.

I’m sooo excited.

Thank you again, Jeanne!

A few more things I want to share real quick…

1st off I want to show you what I purchased online a couple of weeks ago.

I forgot to take its photo earlier, and now it is trapped inside my Bakers Cabinet but I think you can still see it.

See it back there???

Yep, I found an authentic antique yellow ware Coffee Canister!!!

My very 1st true old YW Canisters!!

And I got a bargain! $18 for the canister + $10 shipping.

Total $28.00~~!! Yes, I’ll take it!! :)

Next, I have had this set of candles for years.

But this year I decided I didn’t like how bright they were.

So I thought, I wonder if I could stain them?

So I gave it a try.

Here they are before:

105 (2)

And here they are after:

I think they turned out pretty neat looking.

Of course, they can never be lit, but I never burn this type of candles anyway. :)

I thought this was also neat to see.  I was comparing my Christmas decor last year to this year.

WOW! What a difference a year can make!

Here is what I mean….

Christmas 2009 Living Room

Compared to this year…

115 (2)

Or how about the Dining Room…

Christmas 2009…

The changes might not be as noticeable to you, but I couldn’t get over it.

But to be honest….

I think, I like the way I had my LR decorated last year best.  I moved my tree this year.  Every year it goes in the corner, this year I wanted a change.

And I don’t care for it.

Next year…. it’s going back to its corner!

~I’ll be sure to show some more Before and After photos when I get the rest of the rooms posted.

Okay, now Finally onto my Foyer Decorations.

This is one areas of my home I have such a problem with.

I don’t know why, but for some reason I really struggle with this space.

Anyway…. here it is.

I keep all my most favorite ornaments together on this tree.

Aren’t they prim perfect!! :)

~*~ We are in the process of removing all the carpet from our home.  Hopefully this summer we will have the staircase finished.  Until then… Please try to ignore the ugly carpet. ~*~

Oh, one more thing….

My mirrors are not dirty.  They are antique and the glass is old and worn in spots.

Oh, and here is a photo of the Foyer last year.

This year looks much better!

I hope you enjoyed the little tour of my Foyer.

Also I have listed more of my Christmas collection on my website.

Here is what is new over there….

A Primitive Place

I ran out of room in my "Seasonal" category so I have also been listing some of this in the "This 'N That"  category.

More Christmas collection still to come.  I just need to get their photos taken and get them listed.

I have also listed this large Wall Box Cupboard.

I purchased it awhile back and could never find a spot for it.

So if you are interested it is listed in the "Reproduction Primitives"  category.

I will try to get more items listed soon.

Click HERE to hop right over to my website. (Website will open on a separate page.)

I’ll be back soon with a sneak peak of another rooms Christmas Decor.

Until Then….

Take Care Everyone!!

And Prim Filled Blessings To You All!! ;)

Its the simple imperfections that make it prim and I love it. Love your coffee canister too. Yipee! Congrats to you for getting an authentic YW canister at such a great deal!! I don't usually shop online because I'm one of those that needs to touch it, feel it. Hehe! But I might have to start if you can get great deals like that!

I've always liked those peppermint candles, they are adorable but too bright for me. Now I'll have to be on the lookout for some to grunge up a bit. Yours look great!

Tammy, I like all your photos from last year and this year! I do the same thing with my main tree. I think I'll try it somewhere different and it always ends back in the same old spot. I think I have it in my mind that that's just where it belongs.

Your foyer looks wonderful! We are always our own worst critic. I don't see anything wrong with it but I know how frustrated I can get when something just doesn't come together like I imagined. You shouldn't worry... yours looks great!
