Chit ~ Chat

Hi Everyone!!

First off, let me apologize for not being around much this month.

I would love to tell you that my days have been filled with fun and excitement but I'm afraid that hasn't been the case.

Just normal life.

Only in Fast Forward!!!

I am sure many of you will agree, this month has Flew by!!

I cant believe Christmas is only a few days away.

Luckily, I have gotten all my shopping done.

That is a huge relief.

I don't know why but every year I worry I wont have the time or the Money to do all that needs to be done.

But sure enough, every year, God provides!!

Well, besides finishing up my Christmas shopping, I have spent my time working (of course!),  watching Christmas movies, and crafting.

I have been working on a few dolls.

Here is one I finished up.

Isn’t she just the cutest little ugly gal!! :)

I also opened  an Esty shop tonight.

I would love it if you would stop by.

And maybe even give me a “Heart”. :)

Let’s see what else has been going on…

Well, Kortney still hasn’t taken her drivers test.

We have had horrible weather the last week or so.

Ice and snow which really isn't the best for taking the driving portion of the test.

As some of you know, I am a delivery driver for a pharmacy and driving in this has really worn on my nerves.

I would get home so emotionally drained.

Brett would think it was so silly.

But I honestly couldn't help it.

I've never had to drive in this before.

During the worst days, I would go so slow I could probably get out, run, and get there faster.

Thank God the roads are clear again.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I may be alone on this one….

I enjoyed decorating for Christmas but to be honest, I’m ready for it all to be over with and get my house back to normal.

I love looking at the decorations, I truly do.

But I'm getting tired of going around every morning and plugging in all the trees.  Only for bed time to come and having to go unplug them all again.

Everyday… OVER and OVER!! ;)

I can’t leave them all in because they light up the inside of the house so much I wouldn't be able to sleep.

Plus, no way would Hubby let me run the electricity to them all night!! LOL!!

I’m also in the mood for some change.

I have plans for some rooms after Christmas.

Most of all, I really need to finish my family room.

I started painting it literally 2 years (maybe even 3) ago and have never finished.  Now I don’t even like the color, so I am wanting to change it.

If I ever actually get it done, I will be sure to show it off.

I think I have only shown the family room once, years ago on WS.

But I have been looking through decorating books and of course all the fabulous blogs out there and finally have some inspiration on how I want it to look.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I’m not sure if I will get another blog post up before Christmas.  So just incase….

I want to Wish You All a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Also to my followers of faith, I would like to ask for you all to pray for guidance and blessings in a situation currently going on in our life.

I don’t really want to go into the details, it isn’t anything bad, just a situation.

A situation we could use Gods help with.

So if you could please remember this unspoken prayer request for me.

Matthew 18:20

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Thanks so much!~

Take Care ~ Talk Soon,

zTam

Tammy,
Looks like there are a few of us burning the midnight oil again. I just posted also. Life gets hectic this time of year only because we care so deeply for our loved ones. We want things to be perfect and special and finally it takes it's toll. Ordinary days are special...I look forward to lots of ordinary days after these hectic Holidays. Christmas blessings to you and your family. Always enjoy your blog.
P.S. I am ready for the decorations to come down as well...almost time to move on.

Hey Tammy, I soooo know what you mean about the lights everyday..as much as i love looking at all the christmas decorations..I am ready to have simplicity again..I will take most of the decor down on sunday or monday..and leave maybe the snowmen stuff up till the end of january or just take it all down..I look forward to the less is better thing..;)I "hearted" your site.;) have a wonderful christmas and glad the roads are clear for you again..I was brought up in the snow...but it is different here in washington..we don't know how to drive in it and they don't take care of the roads they way they did in Utah..they barely sand them..and it is still very dangerous to drive here and it is crazy..so I can sooooo see your stress..I would probably quit my job knowing me.couldn't take it..;)

Tam you are SO funny. I am the same way about driving in snow and ice. That is why my husband bought me a 4 wheel drive Jeep which I love but I don't like driving in that stuff!
I am SOOO HAPPY you posted I was getting worried. I haven't posted on my blog since the 6th. December is a VERY busy month 3 Birthday's and Ken and I on December 12th have been married for 23 yrs. I hear from everyone you don't look your age I know but when I am 63 I will look 43 HA HA!!!! I HOPE!!

I am feeling the same way going around and plugging in lights for the trees and the windows and then unplugging everything before bed, What I am enjoying is the Christmas movies that I watch with my whole family.

I am going to check out the website but I don't know how to give you a HEART, could you email me and let me know how to do that!

You stay safe and warm when you are out!!!
I also will be praying for you Tam, with whatever is going on!
God is good and I pray that everything works out!

Hi Tammy,
I too get to the point of wanting it all to be over. Christmas that is. Every year for me it's just a high stress time. I would love to just be able to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas and all its simplicity. But with my family that will never happen.Lol.
I have lifted your name in prayer and God will see you through the situation you have been facing. Just be still and listen, he will give you the answer.

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.
Prim Blessings,
Jean

Christmas has been a little depressing for me here with lack of funds but thankfully the kids are all understanding. We bought gifts for the grandson only and I have managed to put a few decorations up. I am off for three weeks now and the closer Christmas gets, the more I am getting into the spirit. I have visions of sweets now.... I am in the mood to bake so I will be working on goodie boxes for the kids.

I love your new doll! She is beautiful!

I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!

*hugs*

Big hugs to you, Tammy. I do just love your new "ugly" doll. She's too danged cute. Just adorable.

I'm with you on the driving in the snow, too. It's such a scary thing and we have had so many accidents around us the past few weeks... I'd be a nervous wreck out there, too. Drive slow and safe and you're not silly. Not one bit.

The Christmas Season can be so draining, can't it? Remember to take it easy on yourself. Don't go and go and go until you just can't go anymore. I know, I'm giving advice... sorry. Christmas day will come and it will dawn with a beauty and peace all it's own. May you and yours be blessed and filled with that beauty and peace.

Blessings to you, Tammy.
Hugs to you,
Susan @ CluckleBees

I have an easy solution to your having to turn all your Christmas lights on and off each morning and night. They sell timers that you can purchase for both indoors and outdoors and they work great! The less stress and troubles this time of year the better! :)...

Sounds like you need a big
((((((((((((((HUG))))))))))))))
There ya go one great big hug. The holidays do seem to stir up a lot of Stress with everything we have to do to get ready but you know sometimes when it starts to get to me I remind myself of the real reason we Dress up our homes, bake, buy gifts and plan all the festivities with Family and Friends. To Celebrate Jesus Birthday!! Somehow thinking about all that means to me seems to ease the stress and lets me enjoy all it takes to throw such a Birthday Party. Sit back and enjoy your home, your family and all you do. What doesn't get done doesn't really matter because in the end it's the time you spend with your family and friends Celebrating the birth of Christ and all the Blessings his birth brought to us. So when you light those trees every morning think of it as lighting the candles on his Birthday cake and when you unplug them at night use that tiny moment in time to count your blessings of the day and maybe it won't seem like such a chore..soon enough your house will beck in order and all that will be left are all of the warm memories you spent with family and friends. May they be especially warm this year and may your situtation you mentioned be resolved.

Merry Christmas from my house to yours.

I am that way with every holiday I love decorating and looking at everything but then I don't like it because I feel so cluttered and it just starts to seems messy. My husband gets on me about taking everything down too fast.
