More Christmas Decor Photos

Hello Everyone!

Photos of my bedroom, kitchen and breakfast nook coming soon.

I have taken some photos of these rooms but I’m not happy with the way the photos turned out.

To be honest, I’m not happy with the way most of the pictures have turned out lately.

As I stated in a previous post, my camera decided to stop working.

So I have been borrowing my Dad’s.

And well…. I’m having issues with it! :)

So with those three rooms I want to really take my time and try hard to get photos I am happy with before posting.

But here are some random shots of my Mud Room, Laundry Room and 1/2 bath.

Now these rooms are more cutesy prim than simple prim.

But to be honest I ran out of simple prim decorations.

Here is my Mud Room.

When you walk in the back door this is your view.

This is my more retro, vintage ornament, tree.

I usually display this in the foyer but this year I decided to put it in here.

 

 

This is Hagrid Claus.

My daughter named him after the lovable Harry Potter character.

He usually stands just right next to my front door.

But this year with the new furniture and putting my tree in a different spot, I didn't have room for him.

So now he stands guarding the back door.

And Yes, he will scare the #%^& out of you when you come in. LOL!!

If you look to the right you will see into my Very Tiny Laundry Room.

I attempted to decorate it this year.

But to be honest, it is so small there isn’t much one can do.

Then to the left, is my small 1/2 bath.

Once again, not much space to work with. ;)

Hope you enjoyed the little tour of a few random rooms in my home.

Finally A Real Blog Post!! :)

Happy Friday Everyone!!

Well, Finally the real blog post I have been promising for quite awhile.

Hummm… Where should I start.

I think the first thing I want to share is something that just happened this morning.

I woke up this morning feeling a bit blah and a little stressed with a bunch of  things I put on myself.

But God works in mysterious ways and he put me on a path to help.

I sat down at my computer to check my emails/comments and I noticed one from Amy.

She had stated, she loaded one of my backgrounds, so I popped over there to see.

And while I was over there I read her new post, “Oh, Christmas Tree”. 

And at the end of her post is a simple 2 sentence statement that changed my whole attitude for the day….

Here is what Amy said…

“I need to slow down and enjoy the little things instead of being Martha Stewart,Paula Deen and Ms. Perfect...It's the family,love and Jesus that makes the season what it is.”

WOW! I really needed to hear that!!!

So true!!

Lately, I have been running around like crazy trying to get so much done, and haven’t enjoyed any of it because of the stress I have put on myself.

Enough of that!!

Time to enjoy this day… Enjoy this Season….

Because I am not promised another one! ;)

Make each day count!!  That is something I don’t remember enough.

So from the bottom of my heart,

I'm sure when you made that simple statement this morning, you didn’t know it would have such a divine affect on someone but, it did!!

Now I want to show off my wonderful blog wins from Jeanne.

The PO broke the poor little sheep’s head off, but I believe he can be easily fixed, by heating up the wax a bit.  I’ll show him off again when he gets mended and put into place

But I do have the wonderful Spice ornaments on my small twig tree in my dining room.  And I love them in there!!

I have added them to my small tree that sits by my kitchen sink.

I loved my win goodies!!

I also have bought me some new goodies since my last post.

Some were purchased when Brett and I went out for our Anniversary.

First off, I found these wonderful Christmas stacking boxes at Crafts & Clutter in West Frankfort.

 

Then at The Olde’ Homestead in Mt. Vernon, I picked these up…

Penny Rug Stocking with Prim Snowman inside.

I have him hanging in my hall.

Check out his adorable face!!

I also got these two adorable sheep ornies.

I have these on my foyer tree.

We recently got a TJ Maxx in Carbondale and I finally made it over there.

Things were pretty much picked over but I did find this cute prim snowman there.

Yes, I know, he is cutesy prim.

But I couldn’t help it…. he was calling out to me to take him home!! :)

Oh, I almost forgot…

I also got this little prim tree over in West Frankfort that day.

I think it looks really good on my dining room cupboard.

And I got these two wood bowls at the Old Time Pottery Shop.

I'm not sure if I am going to leave them as is or repaint them.

I tried staining one of them, but I am not sure if I like it.

The right hand side bowl is the one I rubbed stained on.

It does look better than before, but I still don’t know if it is Prim enough for me.

Oh, decisions, decisions!!  ;)

And while we are in my dining room I want to show off the little prim sifter tree I have sitting on my Bakers Cabinet.

I made this last year after getting the idea from one of my JSPF.

And here is a shot of the simple prim wreath Mom made for my cabinet.

Wednesday, my ornies from the swap I took part in over at the Prim Pals Forum came in.

Oh, WOW!!

All of these wonderful ladies did an amazing job.

Here, let me show you.

We were asked to wrap our ornies to further the surprise.

And Yes, it worked!! :)

So I grabbed one and started opening them with such excitement.

Stopping only long enough to snap their photo for all of you.

Here they are in the order that I opened them…

I Love all my new ornies!!

And I guess one of the ladies decided not to join in, because one of my ornies came back with the ones above.

So I opened it to show you all what I made.

Now to the end the post, I will show you some photos of my Master Bathroom all decorated for Christmas.

I love how I have the tree decorated in here, it turned out really prim this year.

Well, I at least I think it did. :)
