Show Us Your New Creations ~ Linky Party

Hi Everyone!

I always love seeing what everyone has been up to.

All your wonderful creations.

So, I decided to post a Linky Party.

Do you have a blog post showing off your newest creation?

Then please feel free to link up and show it off.

(Linking up will direct everyone to your blog.  When they click on your thumbnail photo, your blog post will pop up in another window.)

I also love hearing about everyone selling blogs and Etsy shops.

So if you have one of those, please feel free to link up also.

Even though, I'm not sure if the linky will allow you to link an Etsy shop. ???

It might work only for blogs, I have no idea.

But you are welcome to try.

And if your new creation is not for sell, that is okay.

I would still love to see it.

If your wondering why I am posting this???

Well, I only have a one month Free subscription, so I thought I should make the most of it. LOL!!

Keep an eye out for more linky party’s, I'm going to try to think up some more.

You may add up to 4 Linky's.

Hope you decide to join in!!

Please use the Linky Below this post.

The linking at the top of my blog is for our recent swap only.

*The linky will stay up for one week.

Take Care,

Attention all who joined in on my swap

I have posted the linky at the top of my blog for showing off your swap goodies.
This is a great way to be able to see what everyone received and keeps anyone from missing your swap post.

I hope you all decide to link up.
Be sure to link up the actual blog post that shows what you received in the swap.
Thanks so much for joining in on my "This Is So Me / This Is So You" Swap.

I had to use a new linky site.
I'm not sure I like it as well as the past one, but it will work.
Well, at least I hope it does.

Tuesday Display Chain ~ Stripes

Hi Everyone!

First off let me say, Thank You so much for the huge amount of prayers and well wishes from everyone.

Your comments are helping me so much.

And I feel so much safer, knowing that I am surrounded by all your prayers and positive thoughts.

I am still struggling to get my feet back beneath me.

And to start feeling like me again.

Every day does seem to be better.

I keep reminding myself….

“Don't give it to God, only to take it away with letting yourself worry again.  Give it to him… Release it…. and Believe his will be done.”

It is so hard not to allow myself to worry.  Those thoughts have a way of creeping up on you.

But I am trying to catch myself every time they do and push them aside.

I do thank you all for your continued positive thoughts and prayers.

I haven't really been in the mood for the computer lately.

But when I realized it was Tuesday and that I happen to be home between runs, I went a got my camera.

Where are Stripes in my house!!

I walked through each room, letting my eye scan the surroundings.

I am shocked I didn't have more, but at least I did find some.

And now my entry for Misi's Tuesday Display chain.

PS. To my swappers, I'm having problems adding the linky to the top of my blog.

The site I used last time has changed.

I visited it and left confused.

I will try to find another site.

If or when I do, I will add the swap linky to the top of my blog.

Dear Lord, Give Me Strength

I know, I don’t do this very often but I’m going to get a bit personal.

Late Thursday afternoon something happened.

First off, let me ease everyone mind by saying no one is physically hurt in any way.

But it was a situation that literally shook me to the core.

I don’t want to go into details about what happened.

Quite frankly because I’m tired of talking about it and exhausted thinking about it.

But it has put me in such a mood these last couple of days.

I can’t shake it.

And it is driving me crazy.

I know life is a roller coaster.

But I just want to get off and ride the merry-go-round for awhile.

I feel so mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted!!

Now, I know being down and complaining goes against everything I believe.

I Believe in the Power of Positive thought, I Believe in the Power of Prayer.

And deep in my heart, I Know everything will be okay.

But how many more times does my faith have to be tested?

I promise, there is absolutely nothing that will ever cause me to lose it.

I guess that is one of the reasons why I am posting this.

I am turning to my followers of Faith.

I need you shower me and this situation in prayers and positive thoughts.

Matthew 18:20

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

I need some help right now, finding my inner strength.

I need God to fix this situation and pour his blessings upon my family.

If you could, please say a little prayer for me and this unspoken situation.

Thank you so much!

I do apologize for such a downer of a post.

I promise I will be okay and will be back to normal soon.

Until Then….

Take Care and Blessings To You ALL!!

Hummm, Maybe I Shouldn’t Have?

Hi Everyone.

Yesterday, I decided to paint my fireplace I have in my breakfast nook.

Now I don’t know if I like it.

To me, now it doesn't show up as well as the yellow did.

Sort of just blends in with everything else, instead of catching your eye.

Does that make any sense?

Any way, here are some b4 and after photos of the breakfast nook fireplace.

Let me know what you think.

I think I am going to add a light coat of yellow over the black.

Sand it where the black still shows through in places.

Then stain it all again.

I'm just not feeling the solid black. ;)

My Newest Burlap Teddy Bear Just Listed On Etsy

Good Morning Everyone!

Just a quick post to show off my newest burlap teddy bear.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Meet my newest creation, Beatrice.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

She is a primitive, handmade, teddy bear.
She measures approx. 13" tall.
She is made to look old, worn and well loved.
I used burlap for her body, to give her the appearance that all of her fur has been loved away.
She is completely stuffed with old cotton seed quilt batting.
Her arms are string jointed. Which give them ability to be moved and posed some.
Her head is not jointed in any way.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Her eyes are made from black, antique style, shoe buttons.
She has a hump back design, just like the old ones.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Her dress is a true, vintage, old, handmade, doll dress.

No glue is ever used on my bears.
Everything is either machine or hand sewn.

She and her clothes have been put through a grubby process to give them that worn prim appearance.

And Beatrice, like all of my bears, is a One Of A Kind creation.

Beatrice has been adopted.

Wordless Wednesday (Almost!)

Here are some misc. pictures of my kitchen.

None of these are new pictures, guess I need to get the camera back out.

Funny how a room can change in such a short amount of time.

Little tweak here, little tweak there… then all the sudden it looks totally different. :)

I guess that can be a challenge I set for myself.

Try to get some new pictures of the kitchen taken.

Have a great day everyone!

My Entry 4 Misi’s Tuesday Chain Display!

Hi Everyone!

I am finally home on a Tuesday to join in on Misi's Chain displays.

This week the chain is,

“Recently Acquired”.

So, here are a few of my new goodies.

1st off lets start with this wonderful stitched pin keep I purchased from Pam.

She had these wonderful pin keeps listed for sale on her blog.

Pam makes the most wonderful items and I knew I had to have one of these!!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

It is back with a piece of a wonderful old blue quilt top.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Thank you so much Pam!!

I love it!

Okay, next is the extent of my Spring decorating so far.

Don’t laugh. LOL!!

I have never really been much for decorating inside with the seasons.

Except for Fall and Christmas, of course.

Here is a little item I recently purchased from Old Time Pottery.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I have this in my dining room which mixes good with my red ware – yellow ware collection.

The next item is something wonderful I just purchased.

It is an antique, early 1900’s quilt.

Hand quilted and in quite good shape.

Some wear to the front, but nothing terrible.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

To be honest though, I really didn't buy it for the front of the quilt.

Even though it does have some wonderful early fabrics.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

But I bought the quilt for This…

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

The back is done entirely in, Early, True brown and black homespun fabric!!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

The back fabric is in amazing condition.

I didn't notice any holes, rips or stains.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Don't ya love it!! :)

I guess, I will end this post with an item I recently acquired for My Website.

It is a wonderful LARGE framed sampler.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

It comes in wood frame with glass.

Brand New and ready to display.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

It is made to look old but it is not.

As stated above, this is a Large sampler.

It measures approx. 19" tall by 23" wide.

I think this would look amazing above a fireplace!

Family Tree design.

If you are interested it, please email.
