Waiting On The Storm Too

Still on my phone, sitting out on the porch.
It is so hot and humid right now, the breeze does help.
Right now the storms are in the St. Louis area.
My mom has been texting with my sister and my nieces.
The storms are all around them, but so far they are okay.
They are predicting they will be on us in about 1 to 2 hours.
We have our basement all prepared for anything we might need.
Suppers been feed.
Now it is just waiting.
May God be with everyone in the path of these storms.
Take care,

No Internet :(

Hi everyone!
Posting from my phone while waiting for my daughter to get out from school.
My Internet went down yesterday, and maybe up to 10 days before it comes back on.
You can still reach me via email.
I can check it when I'm in the car.
Of course, not while I'm driving.
But I will get back to you as soon as I can.
One note about the swap, all partner names have been emailed.
Please let me know if you didn't get yours.
I have repainted my bedroom and have gotten my new curtains in.
I will be showing it off as soon as I'm back up and running.
Take care,

Well, It Took Me All Day And Into The Night...

But I finally got this new template situation fixed.
I would've liked for it to be a little wider, but it wouldn't stretch anymore.
So I guess this will do.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
I know it isn't much different than before, but I can tell the difference.
Even if no one else can. Heeheee!

I wanted everyone that was on the final list of the envelope swap to know that I have emailed out all partners.
So, please let me know if you didn't get yours.

Also if you did get it, and haven't done so already, please drop me a quick message just to say you got it.
Thanks so much for joining in!!
Okay ladies, let's make this the best swap Ever!! :)

Lastly, I wanted everyone to know that I wont really be around for the next few days.
My nieces are down for a visit, and Brett is getting close to the end of his vacation, so he is really pushing us to get some more things finished up.

I don't believe we are going to Canton after all. Darn It! LOL!! ;)

But we are planning to get a way for a bit, if time allows.
So I am going to be swamped all weekend long.
But I will try to check in if I can find any free time.
If not, I'll see ya all Monday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Working On Changing My Template~ So...

Im attempting to widen my blog.

Pay It Forward

I have been hearing for a few weeks now about the “Pay It Forward” challenge that Dru had posted on her blog.

And I kept planning on joining in, but to be honest I have had so much going on, I didn't know how I would find the time.

But today I noticed the challenge posted on Jeanne's blog, and thought what the heck, I’ll join in. ;)

Here's how it works......
The first 5 people who comment on this blog post...will receive a handmade gift from me.

In return, you must write a blog post explaining Pay It Forward and send out handmade gifts to the first 5 visitors who leave a comment on your post.

Don't be stressed...there is no need to send out the gifts all today or tomorrow.

Any time in the next few months is fine.

No pressure. This is meant to be fun.

So if you would like to take the Pay It Forward challenge please comment on this post.

I will then email the 1st five people to get your shipping information.

Please don't post your address in the comments.

Thanks so much!!

Traveling Box Goodies + Newest Burlap Bear

A little while back I joined in on Crow's Creek Primitives, Sisterhood Of The Traveling Box.

(such a cute name!)

Well, it arrived in today's mail!!

Deb started the box, then it went to Wendy, then to me.

Oh everything was so wonderful!

I actually wanted to keep it all, but decided not to be greedy.

I did, however, pick out two things to keep for myself.

The first item was made by Deb.

It was a wonderful prim bag which came with some prim pantry chunks.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

The triangle shaped ones are Debs.

The round ones Kerri sent to me awhile back.

Here is the cute bag.

Now, let me say…

The bag is not shinny in person.

It has a wonderful olde’ worn appearance to it.

I have it hanging in my kitchen with a couple more prim bags.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

A have a nice little collection starting here, huh.

Next, I selected one of Wendy's items.

Check out these wonderful prim stars.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I have these in my bedroom.

Sitting with my bear I got from Dru.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Thanks so much ladies, for the wonderful new goodies!! ;)

Now it is my duty to replace the 2 items I took, then mail the box off to Robin.

It will be on its way to her Monday.

I also want to share my newest burlap bear.

To be honest I made this gal to sell but I'm not sure I'm going to.

I love her soooo much!

She is a large burlap bear.

All my previous burlap bears have measured around 12” to 13”.

But my newest one measures

approx. 23”.

Let me introduce Elly!!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

She is made completely of burlap to give her the appearance that all of her fur has been loved away.

She is stuffed entirely with old cotton quilt batting.

Which gives her a wonderful lumpy feel to her.

Her arms and legs are string jointed, which gives them the ability to be moved and posed somewhat.

Her head is not jointed in any way.

She has antique style shoe button eyes.

She was made to look Old, Worn, and well loved.

Including little patches here and there.

I dressed Elly in a reproduction homespun dress.

And true antique leather baby shoes!!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

She was made with a hump back design  just like the old bears were.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Both Elly and her dress have been put through a process to give them that wonderful, prim, grubby, worn appearance.

Here are some more photos, because I'm so proud of how she turned out. LOL!

Now sitting on the same table is Elly…

Didn't she turn out sooo cute!!

I’ll let you all know when or if I decide to list her in my Etsy shop.

My original design.
And Elly, like all my bears, is a one of a kind creation.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh by the way…

Construction on the stairs is suppose to start Monday!!

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Until Next Time…

Take Care and Prim Filled Blessings To You All!!

Okay, Prim Lovers Dont Miss Out On This!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Okay, heading out with Brett for the night.

Yes, he is still keeping us busy, busy, busy. ;)

We have spent today painting the basement.

He still has a week and a few days left on his vacation.

So I'm not sure how often I’ll be online until he goes back.

But I will try to sneak away and check in as often as I can.

He is talking about us taking off for a road trip sometime soon.

He is wanting to go to Canton, OH to the ProFootball Hall Of Fame.

Yipee!! (Yes, that is sarcasms.) LOL!!

But he said we can hit some antique stores on the way up and the way back.  So, I guess, I can handle spending some time looking at some jerseys and footballs inside glass cases since I get to do some junkin’ too. :)

Okay, better head off, he’s waiting for me.

Until Next Time…

Take Care and Talk Soon!!
