A little while back I joined in on Crow's Creek Primitives, Sisterhood Of The Traveling Box.
(such a cute name!)
Well, it arrived in today's mail!!
Deb started the box, then it went to Wendy, then to me.
Oh everything was so wonderful!
I actually wanted to keep it all, but decided not to be greedy.
I did, however, pick out two things to keep for myself.
The first item was made by Deb.
It was a wonderful prim bag which came with some prim pantry chunks.
The triangle shaped ones are Debs.
The round ones Kerri sent to me awhile back.
Here is the cute bag.
Now, let me say…
The bag is not shinny in person.
It has a wonderful olde’ worn appearance to it.
I have it hanging in my kitchen with a couple more prim bags.
A have a nice little collection starting here, huh.
Next, I selected one of Wendy's items.
Check out these wonderful prim stars.
I have these in my bedroom.
Sitting with my bear I got from Dru.
Thanks so much ladies, for the wonderful new goodies!! ;)
Now it is my duty to replace the 2 items I took, then mail the box off to Robin.
It will be on its way to her Monday.
I also want to share my newest burlap bear.
To be honest I made this gal to sell but I'm not sure I'm going to.
I love her soooo much!
She is a large burlap bear.
All my previous burlap bears have measured around 12” to 13”.
But my newest one measures
Let me introduce Elly!!
She is made completely of burlap to give her the appearance that all of her fur has been loved away.
She is stuffed entirely with old cotton quilt batting.
Which gives her a wonderful lumpy feel to her.
Her arms and legs are string jointed, which gives them the ability to be moved and posed somewhat.
Her head is not jointed in any way.
She has antique style shoe button eyes.
She was made to look Old, Worn, and well loved.
Including little patches here and there.
I dressed Elly in a reproduction homespun dress.
And true antique leather baby shoes!!
She was made with a hump back design just like the old bears were.
Both Elly and her dress have been put through a process to give them that wonderful, prim, grubby, worn appearance.
Here are some more photos, because I'm so proud of how she turned out. LOL!
And here is photo for comparison…
The previous size of my burlap bears.
Now sitting on the same table is Elly…
Didn't she turn out sooo cute!!
I’ll let you all know when or if I decide to list her in my Etsy shop.
My original design.
And Elly, like all my bears, is a one of a kind creation.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Oh by the way…
Construction on the stairs is suppose to start Monday!!
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Until Next Time…
Take Care and Prim Filled Blessings To You All!!
