A Few New Things I’ve Made

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to show off a few new things I have made.

First is my Handmade, One Of A Kind, Black Cupboard Tuck Doll.

She was made completely of Early Textiles.

I used early ticking for her legs and apron.

She was completely rag stuffed which gives her that wonderful olde’ lumpy look and feel.

Her hair was made from raw wool.

No glue used on this baby.

Everything was hand or machine stitched.

Next, is a one of kind pin keep cushion.

Also made from all early textiles.

Filled completely with sand (no stuffing).

The main portion was made from an old quilt top.

The patch and prim strawberry was made from early blue calico.

And again, no glue was used.

Everything was hand or machine stitched.

All natural aging on this, no stains used.

And lastly, is a primitive bird nest flower pot.

Attached to the front of the pot is a strip of a 1920 magazine article.

Tammy, Love all your handmades. The doll is so prim. Reminded me that I have my grandmothers old feather mattress that is covered in the old ticking. Want to do something with it some day. Love the bird nest in pot. I have a thing for nest. Thanks for sharing and have a great evening.
