Some Photos To Share

Good morning everyone!

Well, I have been doing a little Spring/Summer tweaking around here.

Can’t really do much inside because of the construction and the piles of tools and wood sitting around.

But I was able to do some decorating on my porch.

I want to change my porch decor.

It has looked basically the same for years!

And I want a change.

But I cant figure out what to do.

Plus without buying new furniture, it is kind of hard to make it look much different.

I did put out my Summer pillows and chair covers.

Plus JoAnn’s had their geraniums on sale again!

Which I had last year but made the mistake of storing them in a trash bag, hanging from a peg in the garage….

And can you guess what happened to them???

Yep, my Hubby took them out as TRASH!!

I mean, come on…. Who hangs trash from a peg???

He said I thought you didn't want to sit it on the ground.

Why exactly would I not want to sit a bag of trash on the ground in the garage or better yet…

Why wouldn't I have put in the garbage can if it was trash???

Oh well, it happened so I had to buy more.

And right now they have them marked down 60% off.

I also got a berry wreath for my front door on sale there too.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Originally $30 now on sale for $7.00.

Isn’t it pretty!

My only complaint is….

The berries don't show up from a distance.

You have to be up on the porch before you notice them.

From the road it just looks like a heart wreath.

Here are a few more porch pictures.

Don’t these look so real??

And they hold up really well outside.

They hardly fade at all, even in the direct sunlight.

I have this obsession with sticking things out side in the bushes.

Most of them are garden ornaments.

Including this new one I got at the Gypsy Caravan last month.

But I also added this little wooden Sam that originally sat on the porch.

Now I know he wont last more than a season or so out here.

But I think he looks cute.

I also did a tiny bit of tweaking in here.

You may have noticed, I moved my quilted table topper from Kerri, into here.

I also changed the towels out on my drying rack.

I took down the red towels and replaced them with brown and mustard.

Plus I moved Kerri’s pocket towel up to the center.

I like it much better this way.

That’s it from me for the day.

Until Next Time….

I think everything looks just great. I love looking at other people's porch and yard decor. I love the idea of sitting things to look random.
Looks very natural that way. I enjoyed the tour. Lovely.

Tammy your porch looks great! Might I suggest putting a few small white flowers amongst the berries in your wreath. It will bring out the red.

I don't know what to do first - wipe up the drool from my keyboard and run down and see if I can break into the JoAnn Fabrics store in the nearest town that is now closed....Truly - you porch is incredible! Wish I had a porch that I could decorate...Ours is so small and narrow, I can't even fit a chair on it...And it gets beaten by the rain and the snow and whatever else Mother Nature decides to deliver up...You are an incredible decorator your touches - in and outside your beautiful home. Your family is very lucky....Have a wonderful weekend....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Now I might need to take a run over to Joann's and take a peek at the geraniums and berry wreaths ;) I love how you put the geraniums in dirt - it makes them look even more real! What a great idea! Thanks for sharing all of your lovely photos.
Blessings, Patti

I love each and every prim touch!

Such lovely decorating Tammy - always love your place no matter how you tweak it.

My SIL went to JoAnn's on Saturday and bought some of the Geraniums too.

I was going to go yesterday but I have so many right now I decided to wait till next year. But they certainly are the most real I have ever seen.
Been buying them from there for years now. They are the best.

Your porch is so cozy! What a GREAT idea to use the silk geraniums, never would have thought of that. I just posted pics of mine a little while ago and it sure does pale in comparison! Had to laugh at the story of your hubby throwing yours!! I just got started buying the silk geraniums for my inside summer decorating & love them as they do look so real, need to keep an eye out at Joanne's for the sales! ~Kriss~
