Too Early To Decorate For Fall??

Hi Everyone!

Just a couple of quick things I wanted to share.

1st off, yesterday I was looking through a cabinet and found I sack I stuck in there last year and had forgotten about it.

Do you ever do this…

Buy a seasonal item on clearance after you have already packed up your decorations, so you just stick it somewhere??

How many of you forget that you did it, then are so excited to come across it later??

That is how I am.

When I found a sack of bittersweet twigs and garland I was so excited.

Eeek! I forgot about this!!! :)

I have been wanting to start on some fall inside decorating but kept telling myself it was too early.

When I found this sack, I thought…

Oh, What the heck!! LOL!!

So I did a little Fall tweaking in my kitchen.

I went and got a few more Fall things and set up these little displays on my sink and stove.

This is on my stove board…

Hi, Tammy ~ it's your home so you can put up fall when you want, right? That's what I always figure. I've been working on lots of new prims for fall & it is sure has me in the mood. It's hard for me to put them in the craft room when they are finished. I will probably bring out some things toward the end of the month. Have a great weekend.
hugs,

I am so ready for Fall or at least the fall temps, I just can't stand it.

Finding lost packages is like giving yourself a little gift. Especially if the receipt isn't in the bag! LOL Stay cool!

Love your "fall decorating"! I can't wait either, I so love to decorate for fall. It's such a long season and so many varieties of themes. And of course the COLORS - love the colors of Autumn. It is looking very nice around your home. Congrats on what you have won. Don't forget to hop on over to my blog and enter to win the Santa. Blessings ~Sara

hi Tam, What a funny question! It's never to early to start fall decorating . I left my pumpkin & tree that I bought from Wanda at Gatherings out and i got them near the beginning of July! Love your new decorations - and yes, I too love it when I buy something and put it away and discover it the next year. ~Ann

Yes, I am always sticking things away -- and then totally forgetting about them! Sometimes they're found in time for the season -- sometimes they stay hidden for a couple of years!!

Am getting ready to move soon, so I should be finding treasures here and there as I go through closets/cabinets/drawers!!

Hi Tammy,

Glad to know I am not the only one who finds "packages" from a season or two ago. It is like going shopping without leaving the house.

Would love to know where to find some bittersweet like that??

Seems like fall is in the air everywhere. I love the acorns as a bowl filler. What a great surprise to find. p.s.- I love those bears. They have such personality. Good Job. -Steph-

I love the fat pumpkin in the bowl. If it would make it feel like Fall, I would be decorating, big time! It was 116 degrees today! October is looking pretty good, right now!

I like to wait until there is a chill in the air, but I must confess, I have been in the mood for orange berries and harvest type crafts!

Hi Tammy,
I love your fall decorations. I am also in love with your stove board and your sink board. I am going to try to talk my hubby into making those for my kitchen. I have also been enjoying the pictures of your home on Prim Pals. Your home is simply beautiful.

I truly try to make myself wait until after Labor Day...cuz this crow needs rules or it'd be Halloween year round....But I do have a few things here and there that I've picked up and it's so not worth putting them away for a month - or stashing them and running the risk of forgetting about this for a year or more! ;o) Speaking of which....I think I have some acorns I stashed a couple of seasons ago...better go on a treasure hunt!! Love your journal from Sandy - I was lucky enough to win one too and will post it soon hopefully!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
