My Donations

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Hi Everyone!

I know I haven’t been around in awhile, but I haven't had much free time.

I just finished up my donations for the charity, craft, silent auction which is taking place at my husbands job.

Whew! So glad that is finished!!

Here are my creations for charity….

The Bear and the Santa are my original designs.

The pumpkin head gal was adapted from a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I love this little guys paper hat.

I made it from a 1930’s magazine article.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

His flag was hand painted on to burlap.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

It is difficult to tell in photos but he is been aged to look old and worn.

In the photos it doesn't show up too well because of the dark shade of fur.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Santa was hand formed from clay, then baked,  painted and dressed.

He can sit or stand.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

His beard and hair are made from old cotton quilt batting.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I love making dolls from clay but they are so time consuming!!

He took Forever to get finished.

But I am happy with how he turned out.

Lastly is my pumpkin head gal.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

She is not as bright of an orange as she is appearing in the photos.

More of a brownish orange in person.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I love the droopy eyes I gave her.

Under her nose is a little creased though.

I would love to know how to make this not happen.

If any doll makers have a tip for preventing this I would be so grateful to hear.

I have selected St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for my charity.

Also while I have here, I wanted you to know that my friend Dawn has recently opened up a blog.

Now back to the sewing room!

I still have those 2 bear orders to get finished.

Oh, not enough hours in the day.

Plus we are having a yard sale tomorrow.

Have to finish getting things ready for that.

We tried to have last weekend but it rained all Saturday, so we are going to try again.

Wish us Good Great Weather!! :)

We are calling this our Bring Kelsey Home For Thanksgiving Sale!! ;)

Still have to pay off that plane ticket!! Ouch!

Thanks for stopping by.

Take Care and Talk Soon,

Hi, Tammy, what wonderful dolls and bear. The little clothes on the bear and pumpkin gal are sweet. They are just adorable.
We had picked St.Jude's to send donations to each year back when Ashley was little.
I'm glad you picked them. You're very
sweet and generous.
Warm Regards,

Great items for a great cause!! Hope you raise lots of money -- you did a fantastic job on all 3 of your dolls!!

Good luck at your yard sale -- they are so time-consuming to organize (at least they are for me!), so I hope you have great weather and lots of people stopping by in a buying mood!!
