Christmas 2011 (The Dining Room) Picture Overload

Happy Saturday everyone.

Still not feeling the greatest, but thankfully I am a lot better than yesterday.

I was able to sit down at the computer and get some of the photos cropped, resized and ready to be posted.

Thought I would start with my Dining Room.

Now something is up with my camera.

I let me youngest borrow it for a field trip and she must have messed with the settings.

So I can’t get it work right.

Ggrr! Don't ya just love kids!

Any way, here are the photos….

*When I  drag out my Christmas decor, I always pile it up on the DR table first.

I was going through the boxes, and kept taking my bottle brush trees out and sitting them on my dough box, just so they were all in the same area.

But when I got all finished, I looked at them and thought…

Humm, kinda cute!  So I just left them there. :) Hehee!

I hope you enjoyed the little tour of my dining room.

I’ll be back soon with more rooms.

Oh, and the big plan I had of Simplifying this year, well…

It didn't really work out too well!! LOL!!!!

I guess it is slightly less than last year, but not by much.

I have came to the realization that my decor will never be minimalist.

I just love all my junk treasures too much!! LOL!

In my next post I will also be showing off some adorable ornies I received in a swap hosted by Amy.

Oh yes, I will be announcing the 3rd and final winner of the giveaway, as soon as I hear back from Robin and which set of stockings she has chosen.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Take Care and Talk Soon,

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I love your decorations, everything looks so warm, I need you to do mine, lol. I think I should take out half of my regular things, so it doesn't look so crowded. I love your trees, where do you get them?

It all looks great! You have some neat Santas and I love your yellowware! I had to laugh because I do the same thing (put all my decor on the DR table, when I'm getting it out and when I'm putting it away!)

Tam, everything looks just beautiful in your DR!! So warm, cozy and festive!!

I think we all try to cut back on our decorating from time to time, but I'm convinced it can't be done!!

I look forward to seeing the rest of your decorating!!

Looking gorgeous Tam....Yeah - I always think about simplifying and down-sizing, then I start opening boxes and say, Oh but I have to put this out! And when you have a small house, it doesn't take long and your on overload! You, however, have a large enough home and it all is perfectly balanced....Love your feather trees and the old bottle brush trees - I, too, keep most of my collection together - there's something about one, but something awesome about a bunch of them.....Hope you get to feeling better soon. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin (PS - Did your child borrow my camera too??? ;o))

Hi, Tam, I hope you are feeling much, much better today.
The "tour" was like browsing through one of my favorite magazines. Let's see, I loved these:
beeswax ornies on the tall, skinny tree;snowgirl sitting in the chair with sampler behind her;little twig and feather trees;bottle brush trees;(the dough box is to die for).
The spirit of the season is truly inside of you.
Warm Holiday Wishes To Everyone,
Susan
