New Breakfast Nook Photos

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Hi Everyone!

Well, these last two days have been really rough.

Remember that bug I came down with the day after Christmas??

Well, it is still hanging on, but that’s not the rough part!

Yesterday morning I woke up with severe sore ribs.

I feel like Mike Tyson punched my right rib cage.

And today being the idiot that I am…

Attempted to make my bed, I pulled up on the coverlet in a quick motion and POP! went something in those ribs.

So today, I have been going nuts in pain!

My hubby says I have damaged the cartilage in my ribs from coughing.

I don't know???

If you ask me, I have broke a rib or two from coughing!!

(Yes, for weeks I have been coughing my head off.)

I know they sure feel broken or at least cracked.

This is the most pain I have felt since childbirth! :(

All because of this stupid cough that I can’t get rid of.

And when I do cough… OUCH!!! I want to cry.

Being sick makes me soooo MAD!!

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Anyway… enough complaining from me.

I am all drugged up right now!!! :)

And as long as I sit… it doesn't feel too excruciating bad.

I wanted to get the photos posted of my breakfast nook with my new cabinet from my Mom.

I took them a few days ago and haven't been able to get myself online to post them.

I also did a slight bid of tweaking on my kitchen counter this past week.

Guess, that is all from me tonight.

To be honest… I’m feeling a bit loopy, so I'm going to go lay back down.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope you get well soon, Tam!! I have the same thing -- the cough just racks my body..... I've been down for the count for a couple of days -- can't imagine you having it for such a long time! Of course, I have the sore throat and headache to go along with the hacking cough -- it's been fun around here! Got a flu shot in Oct. (the first time ever) -- haven't felt really good since!!

Love your breakfast nook -- your mom is certainly talented and it looks great! All the tweaking looks wonderful, too.... isn't it fun to putz around the house and make little changes here and there?! Love it!

Everything is stunning, I love, love the wood bakery box inside your blue cabinet, what a nice piece. Hope you get to feeling better soon, we have been lucky here, even with me working retail where the nasty germs are everywhere.

Tammy, I do hope you are on the mend soon, having cough induced sore ribs is no fun, I know. The new cabinet looks right at home in it's new location, very pretty. Love all the wonderful primitive touches in your home, very warm and inviting. Happy New Year, Julie.

hey, you might just have a rib out, no joke !! I have been to the chiropractor several times with a rib out, and he fixes and I feel 100% better.

When I get The Cough I get The Pain in my gut, that's bad enough, I can't even imagine it in my chest/ribs. I am so sorry you are feeling so crummy. I get mad when I am down too!

Your mom gave you the perfect gift, it's beautiful and I love what you have done with it.

Hope you are feeling better very, very soon. Being sick stinks!

Hi, Tam - looking at your blog when you have home photos is like looking at Early American Life magazine photo spreads! Your bedroom is looking gorgeous. The only thing I missed in the after pics is the little prairie dress you had hanging before, it's adorable. And did I spy a biscuit box in the pie safe? Aren't they great with the lithograph labels and when you lift the lid there's another label?
Your mom did such an awesome job on the cupboard and I remember that you said she doesn't use plans or anything. Amazing! The space looks so bright with the pie safe there beside the mustard cabinet.
I've known people that had that thing you have with the ribs from coughing. It's as painful as cracked ribs. And the rotten thing is they don't really do anything for that nowadays. I hope the doctor can give you some pain medicine, that's all you can do, and it takes a long time to heal so you just have to take it easy.
I'm sorry for you, I know it hurts.
Thanks for blogging to us thru your pain!

Sorry to hear that your still not feeling well. Seems like alot of people in Blogland are coming down with some sort of sinus infection or flu bug. Take care and get plenty of rest.

Maybe you better go to Dr and get something to stop coughing. My DD did crack 2 ribs and was in a lot of pain for a while and it was from coughing. Thank you for the tour with the awesome pictures..I enjoyed it. Take care of yourself :)

Tammy...go to the Dr. and have that checked...what if you DID break a rib and then it hit your lung? You shouldn't suffer or take chances with your poor body...you need it, girl!

Tam, I sure hope you stop coughing - ouch! I can feel your pain, trying to suppress that cough because you know it's going to hurt and then you cough anyways after fighting it. Your new blue cupboard is so pretty - great gift from your Mom. Thanks for taking the time to post all your pictures, I'm always picking up an idea from you. Have a restful weekend. ~Ann

I hope you get better soon. I understand about not feeling good, my is everyday with the medication I am on, SUCKS, it feel like morning sickness ALL DAY LONG!
Feb. 29th they remove the nasty lump!

Enough of that, no one wants to hear about my issues, Your cabinet came out FABULOUS, and the BEFORE and AFTER pictures are AMAZING. I already told you you have a knack for decorating. If Ken and I come and visit can we stay in your BEAUTIFUL, decorated bedroom, I am in LOVE with it!!! Girl you need to become a person that goes to peoples homes and decorate for them, you are so very talented, and of course get paid, LOL!

Another thing I am so proud to be able to call you FRIEND!!!
NOW, please be careful of your ribs, itsounds to me that you might have cracked one or two of them and it is very, very painful, my Dad broke 2 ribs and so I know what you must be going through.
Take care and love ya.
Hugs,
Trish

Ugh!!! I hate having buised ribs. They hurt so bad. I mean probaly even taking a breath hurts. I am so sorry. On the flip side of things, I would love to eat breakfast in a nook like that. It would take me hours though because I would be to busy just staring at your wonderful displays and collections. You have a real talent there. Your redecorating looks perfect.
