A Morning Visit With Marie (OLM)

Hello everyone!

Well, I just arrived home from a wonderful visit with Marie… A.K.A. Olde' Lady Morgan.

As most of you know Marie and her hubby just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

Happy Anniversary to you two!!

They decided to take a road trip for their anniversary celebration.

Lucky for me, their celebration brought them down to the southern end of IL. so I got to meet up with her.

We decided to meet at the Olde’ Homestead in Mt. Vernon this morning.

What a amazing visit we had.

We spent about an hour chatting and looking through the shop.

It was so nice to get to talk in person.

I have always adored Marie and getting to finally meet her in person was wonderful.

Before parting we had her hubby take a few photos of us.

But let me point out…

The sun was shinning directly in our eyes.

We switched spots a couple of times but it didn't seem to help much.

I guess I’ll share the photo, even though I can admit….

I HATE to have my photo taken.

Well, actually we both do but we had to for this, oh so special, occasion.

And before saying goodbye, Marie surprised me with a gift package.

She gave me one of her adorable Dammit Dolls.

Which I laughed and said this was great for dealing with Brett when he ticks me off!! Heehee!

I’ll just smack him with it a few times and I’m sure I’ll feel much better. :)

She also gave me a wonderful crock!!!

I actually had been wanting it since she posted about selling it a little while back.

And how sweet of her to surprise me with it.

Thank you Marie… BIG HUG!!!!

It is such a wonderful thing to get to spend some time with blogging friends in person!!

Now it just makes me want her to move down this way so we could hang out more often!!

I also want to remind everyone…

I am currently hosting an envelope swap.
