Two Teddy’s Now Ready For Adoption

Hello All my prim friends.

What a glorious day it is here, in Southern Illinois.

In fact, I’m getting ready to go outside and work in my yard.

Woohoo!! I sure need it.

Doesn't being out in sun just lift your spirits and your energy level.  It sure does mine.

Before I head out, I wanted to get on and post about my two newest teddy bear creations.

Both now ready for adoption in My Etsy Shop.

First is Madison.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Maddy is another one of my burlap teddies.

She measures approx. 12” tall.

She is made to look old, worn and well loved.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I use burlap for the body, to give it the appearance that all of their fur has been loved away.
She has string jointed arms and legs, which give them ability to be moved and posed some.
Her head is not jointed in any way.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

She is rag stuffed (fabric and burlap remnants).  This helps give her a wonderful old look and feel.

Her eyes are antique shoe buttons, originally white but I changed them to black.
She has a hump back design, just like the old ones.

Her clothing and paw pads were made from true antique, early, blue calico fabric.

*Remember that quilt I bought awhile back. ;)

The top portion of her dress and a little patch on one of her ears was made from an antique blue coverlet.

I even made her primitive little panties from an old quilt block.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Everything is either machine or hand sewn.  No glue.

I primitively make everything on my bears, to give them an appearance that is was loving repaired through the years.

My original creation.
Madison, like all of my bears, is One Of A Kind creation.

She will come with a hang tag stating my name and that she is a One of a Kind creation.

Next we have, Pappa.

I know, not the most original name but that is what he spoke to me when I finished him.

To me, he looks like a Pappa bear, all ready for church or work. ;)

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I just love this grubby guy!

Trust me, he is even cuter in person!!

Pappa measures approx. 22” tall.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

He was made of plush and an old gain sack.

The sack was used for his belly, the front of his ears and is foot pads.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

His arms and legs are primitively string jointed.

His head is not jointed in any way.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

His lower portion of body is rag stuffed, the rest of him is polly stuffed.

He has primitive patches and repaired areas.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

His patches were made from wool fabric and an antique blue coverlet.

His eyes were made from true antique shoe buttons.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

He also has a hump back design.

And a chubby tummy. ;)

Good Morning Tam Sweetie...
Oh what beautiful creations of love you have to share today. I so enjoy seeing the little bears.

Maddie is delightful. She would warm any corner, bed or chair in a home. Love her little burlap body for that worn look.

PaPa is priceless. Love his body and ears. How sweet is that, and his patches of love, oh how fun. Makes you just want to pick him up and hug him doesn't it?

Thank you for sharing. I am sure these two won't last long on your shelf. They are simply irresistible.

Have a glorious day outside in the sun. We are experiencing a little cooler temps today here in the desert. A nice change. The 80s are already here.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Tam, you out did yourself again. Both of the bears look like they came right out of the 1800's. I can see a child back then playing with a bear like that.
You are truly a talented gal.

I also went downthe blog and saw the blog post of your BEAUTIFUL stairs!!!! They came out GREAT!
Tam you put in so much time in your homestead, it is all LOVE inside your home.

I hope you enjoy being outside today.
I can't wait to see what you have planned for your porch!
Thank you again for being such a great friend.
Hugs,
Trish, XO
