Bear Swap With Traci + Thank You’s To Everyone!

APP ~Tammy

Hello Everyone!

I want to start this post with saying Thank you so much for the out pouring of love you all have shown me over the last couple of days.

All the comments and emails have helped me tremendously and mean more to me than words can describe.

I feel better today.

Like I told Betty, I gave myself yesterday to drown myself in the pity pool then that’s enough! Time to get up, shut up and move on! :)

So that is what I’m attempting to do.

I still don't have my answers, but that's okay, we will be okay, no matter what happens.

I only had one inappropriate comment to my previous post about the situation.  I didn't publish it and I’m not going to post it here.

All I will say is, it was not mean.

I just find it inappropriate to go “chasing ambulances” when someone is trying to come to terms with a difficult situation.

Now onto happier things….

A little while back, I emailed Traci of York Mountain Primitives telling her how much I loved the adorable teddy bears she makes and that I would love to do a teddy swap with her sometime.

Luckily for me, she said she would love to.

Well, today my, oh, so adorable, teddy bear arrived in the mail.

Traci called it a yellow ware bear, Heehee! She knows that I collect YW and RW.

Check out my wonderful new Olde Teddy…

A Primitive Place Tammy

*I'm water marking the photos with her name, just incase the photos end up on Pinterest.  I want to make sure everyone knows who made it.

And yes, she even included the redware egg!!

Actually, she included even more bonus goodies…

A wonderful pillow hanger, two hand made sunflowers and two handmade strawberries.

Thank you so much Traci!!

I loved it all.

Those of you who may not know, Traci has a selling blog where you can find many of her handmade treasures.

CLICK HERE to pop right over and check out all her wonderful goodies.

Traci received her teddy in today's mail also, but I’m not going to show it off on here quite yet.

I don’t want to take away from her getting to post him on her blog.

But as soon as she does, I’ll share some photos and direct you over to her blog post to read more about him.

Before signing off I want to share something that happened today.

Now, I know there may be some that read this and think,  “that's silly, it was just a coincidence”.

Well, you see, I don’t believe in coincidences.  I believe there is a purpose, a reason, for Everything that happens in our lives.  I also believe that God is constantly sending us messages, we just have to open our ears, eyes, and hearts to receive them.

So, that brings us to today…

As some of you may know, I deliver medications to nursing homes.  Well, today I went into one and they were having a little concert.  There was a small Christian group singing to the residence.  To be honest, I didn't really pay much attention as I was walking in, I had myself too wrapped up in finding a nurse and delivering the medication.   But as I was leaving the song they were singing caught my attention, reached out and touched my heart.  It was a song I loved as a child.  I can remember when Sammy Poole would visit our church and this was one of my favorites he would sing.

Today this was just what I needed to make me smile and know that God was speaking to me.

This is what they were singing….

One Day At Time

I'm only human; I'm just a man
Help me believe in what I could be and all that I am
Show me the stairway
I have to climb
Lord for my sake
Teach me to take
One day at a time
One day at a time, sweet Jesus
That is all I'm asking from you
Give me the strength to do everything that I have to do
Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine
Help me today
Show me the way
One day at a time.
Could you remember
When you walked among men
Jesus, you know when you're looking below
It's worse now than then
Pushin' and shovin', crowdin’ our mind
Lord for my sake
Teach me to take
One day at a time

Now off to cook supper.  To quote my daughter…

Oh, no! She hasn't ate since lunch! Heehee.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit with me.

Until Next Time….

Take Care and Blessings to you All,

Sweet little bear & wonderful extra goodies. I think God finds ways to get our attention & give us a message when we need it & least expect it. So glad your ears heard & it touched your heart. Blessings!

WOW Tam - isn't is amazing how God touches our lives, even in the most simple ways...just when we need it most? I had a similar experience today when I was listening to the radio...needed to remember how blessed I am.

What an adorable bear!!I can see why it is a "yellow ware" bear! I'm sure Traci will be just as thrilled when she gets YOUR bear!I think you are right--if we give Him a chance, we are sent messages of comfort. You will be OK--just think of your family first. :)--Jan

Morning Tammy,
Well I read your other post about your decisions you are going through and let my husband read it too...he and I are at this point in our lives too...not sure if we should stay in a home that we love just for the sake of 'loving it' or go on to something else and not be tied $$ wise - they are very consuming decisions.
I feel for you and pray you can come up with whatever makes your heart happy....I know you will.

I looove the bear - and isn't it just wonderful when our blogging friends know us so well that they get it dead on!!! What a beautiful bear. So very sweet.

Again, I agree with you completely "no such thing as coincidence". Sometimes you just need to look up and either laugh and shake your head or say "thanks for that". He knows what to do when for sure.

Glad you're doing a little better.

Love the bear!

So happy to hear you a little excited. The bear is adorable and I am sure the one that you sent is as well. Can't wait to see it. Good to hear you a little bit content about what God is doing in your life. It is never easy. I still have questions and it has been four years that we have been on the other side of the country. But like the song says "One Day at a Time".Blessings for peace for you. ~Sara
