Just a quick post today to share my newest teddy bear.
Well, actually I just finished two teddy bears, but the other one is for Traci. She and I are doing a teddy swap and I don’t want to ruin her surprise, so I can’t show him off. :)
I can share, Elijah.
I must admit…
He has stolen my heart!!
He was made to look Old and Very Worn and Well Loved.
His arms and legs are string jointed. Which give them ability to be moved and posed some.
His head is not jointed in any way.
He was completely stuffed with old, cotton, quilt batting.
This gives him a wonderful, weighty, lumpy, feel.
He has also been through a multi-step aging process, to give him that wonderful primitive, worn, appearance.
His eyes are antique shoe buttons.
He has a hump back design, just like the old ones.
Prim patches on his feet and arms.
I used all vintage old fabrics for his patches and his bow.
No glue is ever used on my bears.
Everything is either machine or hand sewn.
I primitively make everything on my bears, to give them an appearance that is was loving repaired through the years.
My original creation.
Elijah, like all of my bears, is an One Of A Kind creation.
He will come with a hang tag stating my name and that he is an One of a Kind creation.
Elijah is currently listed in, My Etsy Shop.
