Yes, Sally loves to sew.
She is always there to lend a helping hand while you create your new treasures. :) Heehee!
Sally is my newest burlap bear creation.
She is a make-do bear.
Instead of legs, she has an antique hog scrapper base.
She measures approx. 11" tall.
She has a hump back design, just like the old ones
Sally's body was made from a vintage burlap feed sack.
She is completely rag stuffed (burlap remnants).
She is not jointed in any way.
Her clothing and bow were made from vintage, brown and white dot, cotton, fabric.
She also comes wearing a necklace of vintage brown and white buttons.
In her hands she holds a little pin cushion, which I made from old white, blue and brown striped ticking fabric.
Sally has antique shoe button eyes and hand stitched facial features.
She and her clothing has been put through an aging process to give her that wonderful, old, prim, appearance.
I use burlap for the body, to give the appearance that all of her fur has been loved away.
No glue is ever used on my bears.
Everything is either machine or hand sewn.
My original creation.
Sally, like all of my bears, is One Of A Kind creation.
She will come with a hang tag stating my name and that she is a One of a Kind creation.
Yes, I know…
I’m going nuts with the photos, Again!
Just a few more….

I am currently working on two more bears and working on drawing out a new style of bear body.
Nothing much to share today, except Sally.
Life has been pretty boring here at the Young’s Homestead.
Guess I better go get back to sewing, which is all I have done lately. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
