Popping In For A Quick Hello!!

APP ~Tammy

HELLO!!!  :)

I know, I haven't been around much the last couple of weeks.

I’m sure most of my followers understand why.

So much going on and yet at the same time, life seems to be standing still.

Does that make sense??

Well, that is how I feel.

I’m getting ready for a yard sale this upcoming weekend.

I have two walk in closets to get cleaned out.  The upstairs one literally looks like it could be in an episode of Hoarders!

Enough!

What do I need all this junk stuff for any way?

I still have boxes and boxes on my daughters toys, who is now 17!!

Time to purge!

Yes, that closet does hold my Christmas decorations, and you've seen my house at Christmas time so there is 1/2 the closet.

But I’m going to Try to clear some of it out.

Plus I have multiple totes of Summer clothes.

Those have to be thinned out.

Its crazy, every season I get out all these Summer outfits, hang them, and there they sit until Fall, and I take them back out, and pack them back up.

Seriously, I don’t wear 90% of them.

Time to go!!

So, that is how I plan to spend my day.

I have been cleaning out cupboards, cabinets, drawers, etc.

I have listed some of the better items in My Etsy Shop.

The others are in a pile for the yard sale.

One thing exciting that did take place last weekend was my daughters first Prom.

She looked soooo pretty!

She went with a bunch of friends.

They met up at a restaurant, so unfortunately, I don't have a photo of all of them together, but here are a few of her and one of her friends.

Prom 2012

The theme of the Prom was Carnival.

Oh to be that young again!!!

I’m so glad she had such a fabulous time.

Well, it is time to get up and get started.

I have to go back to work tomorrow so I need to get as much done today as I can.

Wish me luck! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Take Care and I promise to talk soon!!

Hugs,

Your daughter is beautiful!! And what a fun and PERFECT dress for that theme!! Good luck with the purging - that is something I need to do as well - but, oh, so challenging for me. We are not in a good location for a rummage sale (being so remote, means no traffic), but each year they do a neighborhood sale in mid-June. I really should join in, but with everything going on, don't think it's going to happen - besides, when I did it a few years ago, I swore never again....The hassle of hauling out, marking, setting up, and then hauling away what doesn't sell....yikes.....(bringing back not-so-fond memories!) Happy Sunday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Your daughter is gorgeous. I love her dress. My daughter has her prom next weekend. I am so excited to see everything put together.

I understand about the junk/stuff. Sometimes we hold onto things just because we can and have the room for it. I got rid of so many things after my husband died. Part of it was I wasn't thinking straight the other part was I wanted to simplify my life. I have no regrets about getting rid of anything. Out of sight out of mind. Good Luck with your yard sale.

Hi Tam, I agree with everyone else your daughter is so pretty and has such a sweet smile. And that dress it to die for. I love it. Never seen one like it.
I sure don't envy you with your task at hand. We had a yard sale last weekend. So I know what you are going thru. So hard to let go of some things but why keep them if we don't use them. And yard sales are a lot of work. Take some time to rest before you are off to work tomorrow.

Your daughter is so pretty and I love her dress.
I'm helping my folks with a garage sale this coming weekend. They are down-sizing and moving to a smaller home in a couple of weeks. Oh my...are garage sales alot of work, but it is a good feeling to get rid of some things that we just don't use anymore.

Hi Tammy,
You are doing what I SHOULD BE DOING...I have totes and totes of things in the basement that I pack away when I re-do something or when a season changes and I don't bring up all that I took down...needless to say between the both of us we probably could open up a store....lol

Your daughter is beautiful and I love her dress...very feminine and yet it fits with the Carnival theme.

Glad to hear that you are getting things worked through Tammy. Those closets are horrible, we just put things in them and shut the door then forget about it (that's how it is here anyway) and then a search party has to be sent for you when you go to clean it out!

Your daughter looked lovely for the prom, I am so glad she had a wonderful time. Those were the days, like you I went to my proms with my now husband...good memories.
