Purging and Tweaking

 A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Happy Friday everyone!!

OMGoodness, I am so glad it is the weekend.

This has been an extremely hectic week at work, and it couldn't have happened at a worst time.

So much to get done before the potential buyers come by during Memorial Day weekend and I’m never home enough to get it finished.

Not to mention when I am home, I’m too worn out to accomplish much.

One high note, Kort’s last day of school was Wednesday.

Bring on summer break. This school year went by super fast until the last two months, they seemed to drag on forever!  But isn't that how it always is? Well, at least it always feels that way to me.

Even though the yard sale has past, I'm still working on clearing out things.

Way too much stuff!!

So, I have a dining room full of things to get listed for sale, as soon as I can find some time.

I enjoy selling online but doesn't it seem to be a huge ordeal at times.

You must display the item, take photos, load pictures onto the computer, crop and tweak them, and yes sometimes do it all over again because they turned out horrible. (Maybe that's just me! LOL!)

Any who, then once you get the photos all ready, you have to log on to where ever and try to find the words to describe it, figure out what to charge for the item, then figure out what to charge for shipping.

Seriously, I’m worn out just thinking about it.

I don't think I would be dreading it, as much, if it was only one or two things, but its not.  I have tons of stuff to get listed.

Oh well, one day at a time.

Sorry, I’m babbling a bit.

Okay, so we all know that when you start clearing out things, it leaves us with spots to fill, and then one spot leads to another, which leads to another.

And before you know it, you're tweaking all over the place.

For now, I will share the most changed spot….

The Breakfast Nook.

Remember awhile back I shared that I didn't know what to put above my fireplace?

Well, this is what I have come up with, for now…

I added a shelf.

The shelf was in the hall, but I wanted to open that space up, so I decided to try it in here.

Hummm, maybe I should've painted it a different color??

Oh well, good enough for now.

It is a quilt rack shelf, but I thought I would use it to display some of my old Flour and Sugar sacks.

Turned out kinda cute, don’t ya think??

I also did some tweaking to my cupboard.

I took all the white stoneware from the dining room and moved it to here.

Opps! Sorry, let me open the doors…

There, that’s better. :)

I like it and the white pieces show up much better than the Hodge-podge of items I had.

I will end the post with a quick peek into my dining room..

You can’t really tell in the photos, but the floor surrounding the table is filled with boxes and totes of stuff.

Hopefully soon I will find time to get started on this stuff, but for now, I have too many things that have to come first.

Wish me luck!!

I’m heading off to collapse in front of the TV for the night.

Yes, I know, I should be up working on the list of things that need done, but I can’t tonight.

Today was a long, hot, stressful, and exhausting day, won’t bore you with the details, but I’m not doing anything else tonight.

Tonight, I rest.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit with me.

Take Care and Talk Soon,

Nobody tweaks like you do Girl... ;o) Love it. You had me at feedsack and stoneware. Yes, online listing is a pain - thought it was just me who thought that....and it seems like traffic is pretty slow there these days; then add in the increase fees and I've talked myself right into donating. (Well, or stashing....) Wishing you luck - and keeping you close in thought and prayer....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
