Hello All my wonderful blogging friends.
I am so glad you decided to stop by!
I hope you had a nice and peaceful weekend.
Mine wasn't too stressful, considering the week or weeks I have had lately.
Saturday night hubby and I actually had time to go out to eat.
We haven't done that in so long.
Now I’m talking, a real restaurant, Micky-D’s doesn't count. :)
We got to actually go sit down and have someone wait on us! Yipee!
I must admit it, I made a piggy out of myself.
But hey, I deserve it, don't I??
Well, that is what I told myself any way. :)
We ate at Logan's Steakhouse.
And incase you have never been, they sit these buckets of peanuts out on the table.
You're suppose to just throw the shells on the floor, but I must admit, I always feel guilty doing that. LOL!
Did it any way, though.
Any way, I ate a ton of those. Then they brought out our salads and breads.
Yep, ate all of that too!
One would think I would have been too full no eat my actual meal….
No Way!
I haven't had a steak in soooo long. I ate every piece of it and my entire baked potato too!
Yum Yum!
Yep, I was a little sick afterward on the drive home, but to me, it was worth every pain! Heehee!
Tomorrow we are taking my son to the airport.
He is flying out to CA to meet Kelsey and drive back to IL with her, so she doesn't have to do it alone.
Her boyfriend and one of his friends are driving the U-Haul, but she has to drive the car because they didn't want to attempt to pull it.
I must admit, I’m a little nervous.
Not so much the drive, more the fact that he is flying out there on his own.
Yes, I know he is technically an adult, but I’m a Mom and moms have a tendency to worry, right?
He has never flown alone, plus there were no straight flights so he has to change planes.
I will be sooo glad when he lands in CA safe and sound.
So I am asking all my followers of faith…
Please send out protection prayers for my son on his flights and for all of them on their journey back home to us.
I know everything will be okay but a little extra prayers cant hurt, plus it helps take my fears away knowing that all my wonderful friends are surrounding them in prayers.
Thank you sooo much!
I also wanted to share a couple of things I bought this week.
I have always wondered about these…
These little electric heating pad things for candles.
I wasn't sure if they really worked, well….
They Do!!!
And in my opinion much safer than using fire, especially when you have curious little kitties in the house. :)
And look at what I found at Menard’s (Home Depot type store)….
Rag Rugs!!!!
And the Unadvertised Special Price….
$1.99
Can you believe that??
Less than $2 bucks for these awesome rugs.
I absolutely loved the nice warm prim colors in them.
Most of the time, new rag rugs are made of crazy bright colors, but not these.
Prim perfect!
So if you have a Menard’s around, go get you some while they are on sale!
Another quick reminder that I am still listing goodies in my Etsy shop.
New things were put on today and much more will be coming in the days and maybe weeks ahead.
If you would like to see what have, simply Click Here to pop right over and check out my shop.
Well, it is almost midnight here so I’m heading off and going to go get ready for bed.
I am so happy you decided to stop by and check in.
Take Care and Talk Soon,

Good morning Tam - I'm so glad you had a chance to relax and enjoy yourself! Sounds like a really neat place to eat.

Loved the rugs to!! Always wondered if the heat pad worked!!
Morning Tammy...well I certainly will say a prayer of safe travels for your son and daughter and her boyfriend...they have quite a jaunt ahead of them don't they. Won't it be awesome to have them under your roof in a few days??? And yes, moms worry no matter how old their children are - it's what we do.
I saw the rugs at our Menards...very nice for the price.
I've seen the candle pads as well - and they do work quite nicely...they had them out for keeping coffee warm years ago and then realized they work well for candles.
p.s. I'm going to get my swap items posted hopefully today!!!
Hugs,
Karen
