A Couple New Creations

Hello All My Blogging Buddies!

A couple of days ago, I was able to finish up a couple of new, handmade by me, pillows.

They are currently listed in My Etsy Shop.

I admit, this first one is my favorite.

I absolutely love the way it turned out.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Nice large size, measuring approx. 27" long by 14.5" tall.
Handmade by me.

I used a vintage, cotton, Oats, Feed Sack for the center.
For the front sides, old homespun blue and white checked fabric, that was originally on the back of an antique quilt.
Across the top and bottom of the front, I used vintage, old, blue and white ticking fabric.

It has been awhile since I had time to just lock myself away in my sewing room and it felt good.

Sometimes you just have to forget about all the “stuff” in life and find at least a few hours for “You”, don’t ya think?! :)

I also have decided to join in on Amy's homespun ornie swap.

I’m so excited to get started! I am hoping to begin that tonight.

I missed out on her previous one, so when I saw that she was hosting another, I knew I had to join in!

I just LOVE primitive ornie swaps!

If you would like to read more about the swap, CLICK HERE to pop over the Amy’s post, read the rules, and hopefully join in.

It is going to be so much fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Talk Soon,

They're all great, Tammy! But I love the first one best!

Love them both. I agree on sewing/creating being therapy. I think although we all may not create with paint and brush we are still artists and sometimes when life "gets in the way" we not only enjoy the release of our minds as we work but sometimes end up with our most beautiful pieces. These are both wonderful, what a great way to repurpose vintage textiles!! ~Kriss~

Love the pillows Tam....but, you're right, the first is my favorite too. Stop tempting me....I'm trying to be "good." ;o) Yeah, I'm hoping for a little therapeutic stitching tonight myself....if I can stop my head from spinning in circles....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
