I believe this will be the last Christmas decor post.
I have a couple more rooms to get photos taken of.
But there isn't much in these rooms, just little touches here and there.
I will try to get them taken sometime before Christmas. :)
For now, I will share with you my kitchen, breakfast nook and mud room.
As we leave the dining room, we walk into the kitchen….
Now on to the breakfast nook…
I must admit, this is one of my favorite spaces in my house.
I love my prim fireplace and cabinet that my Mom made for me.
This tree has our homemade dough ornaments, made in 2003.
First Christmas here in this house.
Also on here are a couple different styles of gingerbread men I purchased in the past.
I have had these wooden NOEL houses for as long as I’ve been married.
Isn’t it funny how certain pieces just stick with you, while others come and go.
Lastly we have the mud room.
This is more of my retro room.
Or so I consider it.
It is the tree where I display my 1950ish plastic ornaments, other retro looking ornies, and felt stockings.
These type of things make me think of my Grandma’s when I was young.
No, I wasn't alive in the 50’s but she still had all of this stuff in the 1970’s. :)
See those greenery reindeers up there…
Those are something else I’ve had for as long as I’ve been married.
I really don’t know why they stuck around, but now it has gotten to the point that I’ve had them so long, I don't have the heart to get rid of them.
I also wanted to show you all what my Mom brought over yesterday.
She brought him over for me to take to the booth, but I fell in love with him.
He had to stay here.
I have him hung off the end of my stair post.
Still needing more for my staircase, but at least he’s a start.
So what do you think…
Cute or Creepy??
I think he’s Both!
And I love him!! :)
One final thing to share…
Check out this wrapping paper they have at Wal-Mart…
The colors are wonderfully Prim/Country.
It is hard to tell in photo but the coloring is very muted.
They have different designs, some plain, some with prim snowmen or Santa’s.
But I liked these simple snowflakes best.
Oh, another good thing, it’s only $3.00 for a nice size roll!
Well, that’s it from me for the day.
I’m going to go spend the rest of Sunday sewing and watching football with Hubby.
