Guess What I Saw? ~And~ Are You Ready??

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

Hello All my blogging buddies!!

I’m so glad you popped by for a visit.

Guess what happened the other night??

I was making a delivery for work, I pulled up in the parking lot and guess what I saw???

witchA Misi Witch!!!

Okay, I know actually it is a Martha Stewart witch, but I cant help it, when I see one of these I think Misi.

Raise your hand if you do the same. :) Hehee.

Well, October has passed and before we know it, the Christmas season will soon be upon us.

Are you ready??

Me?? Not at all.

This is all happening way too fast.

Usually I cant wait to get started decorating, but for some reason this year I’m not excited at all.

Maybe that will change when I actually get started.

Plus, with the house being on the market, I think that is putting a damper on things.

I need to start remembering this could very well be the last Christmas we spend here.

I need to just focus on that and enjoy it one last time.

Any way…

Here are just a few photos of last years Christmas decor to try to bring on the Christmas mood.

Okay, I’ll stop.

That ended up being a few more photos than I originally planned.  ;)

One thing I did notice, last Christmas my kitchen and bathroom were still in the dark paint colors.

That kind of excites me, to get to see this year with the new light paint.

So how about you??

Are you ready to get started decorating??

Or still way too early??

I usually don't start dragging it out until the middle of November or after Thanksgiving.

I’m not sure what I’ll end up doing this year.

I suppose I’ll just wait for the mood to hit me.

Hopefully it will!

Thanks for stopping by to visit with me.

Take Care and Talk Soon,

I'm taking down my fall stuff and will be putting up the Christmas stuff very soon. This too may be our last Christmas in this house so I am going all out, plus it will most likely be my oldest sons last Christmas at home.

I love your cradle of Santas but I have to admit that the giant one kind of creeps me out!! LOL!!

I too think of Misi if I see those witches! ;)
I'm not in the Christmas mode yet either. Where I work, they have had the Christmas items you can buy out for a few weeks now and also just totally decorated. I usually start a week or so before Thanksgiving. Hopefully I'll be in the mood then too.

It was a beautiful Christmas! Can't wait to see what you do this year. . .I can't quite get in the mood--just doesn't seem like it's time, yet. But, I'm sure around Thanksgiving, I'll begin believing. . .

Like you I am feeling bittersweet. It is exciting to think about decorating, but because my house is small I am not going to do nearly as much. We are soul sisters on this journey Tammy. Loved looking at those pictures

Hi Tammy!
I know what you mean about Misi, she is certainly one of my inspirations!

This rental we're in right now does not feel like home but I am going to put my all into making it feel like home this holiday season.
With grandkids in the house it helps!

Hugs, Audrey

I still have to put away a few Halloween decorations. I'm looking forward to getting out the Christmas decorations, and maybe a little Thanksgiving inspirations first. Your Christmas photos really got me in the Christmas mood.

Hi Tammy-While I am creating for Christmas,I'm not ready to decorate yet. I'm just not in the mood for it, and don't usually start until after Thanksgiving.
All in good time....

I can't even think about Christmas yet...I'll pack the witches etc. and add my turkeys and Thanksgiving decorations to my pumpkins and fall florals. I usually start decorating the day after Thanksgiving or so. This year who knows?? I'm one of those not into Christmas people (I know...the shame and horror!!) Your home is an inspiration for me to try and put more heart into it. I admit your life santa creeps me out too, LOL!! ~Kriss~
