Hello All My Bloggin’ Friends!
I’m almost too poop to peep, but thought I would give it a try. :)
Why am I so tired?
Oh, so many reasons.
Between house showings, which the house had to be cleaned from top to bottom for.
Plus I have been working hard on things for my booth.
Working a lot lately on my Etsy shop, tiring to get new things listed and freshen up over there.
Putting together RAK Christmas presents for as many of my friends that I can.
*There are so many I am hoping to send packages out to, hoping that I can find the time and energy to actually get it done.
I am happy to say though, one was mailed out a couple of days ago, another one boxed up and ready to be shipped, plus a few more in the works!
Then to top it off, I spent 6 hours today at the mall getting started on my Christmas buying.
Until today I hadn’t bought a single gift, and Christmas is less than a month away!! :0
I am worn out!!!
I thought I would share a few small craft projects I finished up.
The first one is a Pinterest favorite of so many.
Have you seen the water globes made from jars?
Some have water, some don’t.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just do a search for water globe jars on Pinterest and you will see many examples.
Any who, I love them.
So I decided the other day to make one.
I got down in the cabinet where I keep all my spare jars…
What?? Where are they???
Then I remembered I sold all my empty crafting jars this past Summer in a yard sale!!!
I save things forever, never use them, then as soon as I get rid of something it is Exactly what I need.
Well, eventually I was able to find a couple. Unfortunately, they didn't have their lids.
Hummm, time to improvise…
This is what I came up with.
My prim twist on a jar water globe…
Of course, it doesn’t have water in it because I had to top it with a piece of old red and white ticking.
But still looks kind of cute.
I have it sitting in my living room…
The next things I did was an update on a project from last year.
Do you remember this twig tree post from last year??
I never really cared for the base I used. It was way too small.
So, this year I changed it into something slightly larger.
Another jar I found…
I also trimmed down the branches some, they were too long last year.
I filled the jar with Spanish Moss and put a stitchery around the jar.
The stitchery was originally made for a candle and was from a swap I did with Ann a couple of years ago.
Much better, don’t ya think??!
The other day I was over at my Mom and Dads.
She has her kitchen decorated so cute for Christmas.
I decided to take some pictures of two of her trees to share with you all.
Now I didn't have my camera, so I had to use my phone.
Let me apologize, the quality of the pictures aren't the greatest.
*** Okay, I started this post last night but I’m afraid my sleepiness won out and I had to go to bed! :) ***
But now I’m back and a little more rested so lets see Moms Kitchen Trees.
Remember these were taken with my phone. :(
I love her kitchen trees!
She always has them decorated so cute!!
This small one is decorated with vintage children's baking toys and glass bead garland.
The next one is her tall twig tree.
This one is decorated with mainly vintage old ornaments and glass bead garland.
Trust me, my photos don’t do these trees justice at all!! :)
The above ornie is my favorite.
Poor little fella has lost his arm over the years, but I don’t care, he still has stolen my heart.
And lastly, I really liked how she displayed the little stockings on her fridge.
Humm, may have to do that next year!
Well, I guess that is all from me for the day.
I need to get up, shower and get started with the day.
So much to do, so little time! That has quickly become typical life lately. :)
