Hello All!
I can’t believe it is the middle of June already!!!
I swear the days are flying by.
If this post comes off a little loopy let me apologize in advance.
To be honest, I have felt more than a little NuTs lately.
I guess it is understandable considering everything going on but I’m just ready to feel like me again.
As I have been reading some of my favorite blogs, I've noticed a lot of people feeling the same way.
As in, not a lot of free time for blogging and just having a ton of things going on at once.
I thought Summer was for relaxing??
Isn't that what we tell ourselves all winter long??
Well, so far mine has been anything but!
I want to send out a Huge Thank You to everyone for their prayers and comments concerning Kelsey and Mitch.
I am happy to say they both are home Safe and Sound.
~ Praise God! ~
Here are a couple of photos they sent through their phones the day before the Long journey began.
Oh, and guess what happened to me yesterday!
I almost died!!
No seriously.
I was heading home from a run and this happened….
(Please forgive the horrible sketch, I used it to try to explain to Brett what happened.)
Me in my tiny little Yaris and trapped between 3 semi’s, none of which would Slow Down.
I was entering a construction area, so I slow down 55 as stated. I could see the 2 semi’s in my rear view mirror but they were quite a ways back. As I was coming up to an on ramp, I noticed another semi coming (full force!).
So, I glance back again and those 2 trucks behind me were all the sudden, Right on top of me.
I swear they had to be going 75-80!
I slow down not wanting to get crushed by the one entering and wanting to switch lanes but just as the thought entered my head, there was one of the semi’s right on my side.
I didn't have time to gun it and get in front of the one entering, I would've been crushed for sure.
I kept trying to slow down without actually slamming on my brakes, which would've been impossible anyway because semi # 3 was nearly in my back seat as it was.
I was hugging the center line, hoping #2 would hurry up and get by so I could switch lanes and just as soon as I thought I could and started, semi #3 behind me swung into it!!
So, I quickly swung back into my lane and at the same exact time so did he, all the while traveling at 55 to 60 MPH, and now Semi #1 was right in front of me coming from the on ramp.
As I try to explain all of this, it sounds like a huge amount of time passed, and it did feel like it was all going in slow motion, but the truth of it is, it all happened within seconds.
I honestly have no memory of how I survived and how I didn't get crushed.
It was like all of this was going on, then poof, I was driving on and all was passed and I have no idea how.
Believe me, I know how crazy that sounds, but its the truth! All I know for certain is, God was with me in that car and that is the ONLY reason why I am still alive!

What’s new with the moving situation??
Well, the one buyers are still interested.
They haven't sold their home yet and the last time Brett spoke to them, they hadn't listed it yet.
So, we are still moving forward with listing it on For Sale By Owner.
We are finishing up a few repairs and hope to have it on the site within a week.
We have found a house we are interested in and are considering placing an offer contingent on ours selling.
Here’s something funny though….
Remember my previous posts, when I talked about all the things I wanted in my new home.
One of which it being an old home!
Well, this one has none of the things I thought I wanted.
As in…
It’s new, well, newer.
So, of course, it has none of the wonderful old details and wood work.
It doesn't have a basement, which is another thing I wanted.
It isn't in the country, it is in a subdivision. (That will be a first.)
It doesn’t have a dining room, it actually has an open floor plan. Something I have never had before!
Even though this house has none of the things I said and thought I wanted, when I walked in, it felt like home.
Or at least, felt like it could be home.
It is part of an estate and it has sat empty for over a year.
And you all know what happens when a home isn't lived in for awhile…
It starts to fall apart.
I have always wondered why that happens?? But it does. It is like, it needs a family in order to stay alive.
Any way, needless to say, this little house needs a lot of work. Luckily, it all seems to be cosmetic and we nesters don't mind that kind of stuff…. Do we??
Even if everything was perfect, I know me, I would start in fixing and changing any way. :)
I don’t know if we will end up with the house or not.
And this time around, I’m not praying for God to give it to me, all I keep praying is…
“His will be done.”
If I am meant to have the house, it will happen.
If I don't get it, it is because he has other plans, and that is okay too.
I’m a follower these days, Not a leader!
So, I guess we will see what happens.
I didn't take any photos of the actual house.
To be honest, if you saw it you would probably think…
“Seriously, you want that one???”
LOL!!
I will promise you this though, IF we end up and getting it, I will be sure to share before and afters once I get in and turn it into the home I know it can be.
One thing I will share though, is the view from Google Earth.
This way you can see, my favorite part of the house….
The HUGE pool!!!
I also love that is on a dead end street on a shaded lot.
Above view is the side of the house. You can’t see the front of the property because of the trees.
And below is the back…
I’ll let you know how it goes. We hope to put in the offer sometime within a week.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit with me!
I’m heading off to go rest and relax with hubby.
He took the night off from work!
Take Care and Talk Soon,
