Photo of  NYPD officer giving boots to barefoot man warms hearts online

This little article brought tears to my eyes.
God bless this Officer for his act of kindness, instead of just walking by!

We all know that this officer cant afford to buy all homeless shoes.
But what I love about this story is...

For some reason, God spoke to the Officer this night, for this man in need...
And the Officer Listened!
I think that is wonderful.
How many times do we hear Gods voice whispering in our ears and do nothing or say nothing??
For myself, I can say, too many.
This officer reminded me to Listen For Gods Voice, then do what he wants me to do.

Newest Creations For My Booth

Hello All!

Thought I would pop on and share some photos of my two newest creations.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I just finished them up yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how cute they turned out.

I’m actually so tempted to keep them. :)

Both are my original, one of a kind, creations.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

My prim snowman was drawn out on to osnaburg fabric, stuffed completely with straw, and grubbied up for that primitive appearance.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I used a stick from my yard for his nose.

He has antique black shoe button eyes and his buttons down the front are old white shoe buttons.

And next is my Santa door hanger…

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

He is also osnaburg and completely stuffed with straw.

Large vintage round button eyes and vintage lambs wool beard, mustache and eye brows.

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I made his hat from a piece of a newer red and white coverlet type fabric.

To give you a better idea of how big he really is….

I’m hoping to get these two marked and taken down to the booth tomorrow.

I was wanting to go to today but I was called out to work and once I got home, I didn't want to get back out.

I actually haven’t been feeling very good since I got home.

I sure hope I’m not coming down with something.

I’m going to spend the rest of the night with my feet up and catch up on some tv.

Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow.

Thanks so much for stopping to by visit.

Christmas Decor Part 3

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

Hi Everyone!

I believe this will be the last Christmas decor post.

I have a couple more rooms to get photos taken of.

But there isn't much in these rooms, just little touches here and there.

I will try to get them taken sometime before Christmas. :)

For now, I will share with you my kitchen, breakfast nook and mud room.

As we leave the dining room, we walk into the kitchen….

Now on to the breakfast nook…

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

I must admit, this is one of my favorite spaces in my house.

I love my prim fireplace and cabinet that my Mom made for me.

This tree has our homemade dough ornaments, made in 2003.

First Christmas here in this house.

Also on here are a couple different styles of gingerbread men I purchased in the past.

I have had these wooden NOEL houses for as long as I’ve been married.

Isn’t it funny how certain pieces just stick with you, while others come and go.

Lastly we have the mud room.

This is more of my retro room.

Or so I consider it.

It is the tree where I display my 1950ish plastic ornaments, other retro looking ornies, and felt stockings.

These type of things make me think of my Grandma’s when I was young.

No, I wasn't alive in the 50’s but she still had all of this stuff in the 1970’s. :)

A Primitive Place ~Tammy

See those greenery reindeers up there…

Those are something else I’ve had for as long as I’ve been married.

I really don’t know why they stuck around, but now it has gotten to the point that I’ve had them so long, I don't have the heart to get rid of them.

:)

I also wanted to show you all what my Mom brought over yesterday.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

She brought him over for me to take to the booth, but I fell in love with him.

He had to stay here.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

I have him hung off the end of my stair post.

Still needing more for my staircase, but at least he’s a start.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

So what do you think…

Cute or Creepy??

Heehee!

I think he’s Both!

And I love him!! :)

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy  A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

One final thing to share…

Check out this wrapping paper they have at Wal-Mart…

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

The colors are wonderfully Prim/Country.

It is hard to tell in photo but the coloring is very muted.

They have different designs, some plain, some with prim snowmen or Santa’s.

But I liked these simple snowflakes best.

Oh, another good thing, it’s only $3.00  for a nice size roll!

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

Well, that’s it from me for the day.

I’m going to go spend the rest of Sunday sewing and watching football with Hubby.
