A Fresh New Look In The Half Bath

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

Hello Everyone.

This is going to be a really quick post, I haven’t been feeling too well today.

I did want to pop on and share what I have been working on this week.

A fresh new look for my half bath.

Total cost: $0.00

My Mom gave me the antique white paint, which I used to paint the the mirror, the lower half of the wall and the divider trim.

The rest of the decor came from different rooms.

Here is a before photo to remind you of what it did look like.

It is a small room and difficult to get photos of but here is my attempt of a few….

Chamber pot makes a great bathroom trash can.

I hung a small peg rack on the side of the sink to hold a towel.

I also hung a box from the rack, which holds an extra towel, soap and jar with Q-Tips.

Small crock bowl for a soap dish.

The other side of the sink has a reproduction crock with some of my dried roses.

I got this inspiration from Dru @ The Country Farm Home.

I absolutely LOVE her home.

I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Even Brett likes it, so that’s a plus! :)

Now off to rest and look through my new Country Sampler magazine.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit.

Have a wonderful and Safe weekend.

Hi Tammy, Love all the changes you made in your bath. And that they were free!! Those projects are the best. Love the lighter direction you are taking in decorating your home. You have a talent! Thanks for sharing. And hoping you feel better soon.

It looks FANTASTIC! I love using whites in my decorating, I love white paint, and white accessories. So many people think that primitive has to be dark- but not so, I find white quilts and paint contrasts so well with primitive accessories, it balances everything out!

I have a half bath too and I know how hard it is to get good pics in there. The lighting in such a small space throws everything off too. Your pictures came out wonderful though. I like the new colors so much. They are a lot softer and more feminine. This bathroom suits me. I think I will pin it if that's ok. -Steph-

What a wonderful redo Tammy, and the budget, perfect! You are such a creative lady, I love the ideas you come up with. Using a chamber pot as a wastebasket is a great idea, love the color choices too...who does not love ironstone...sending greetings from snowy Maine, Julie.

What a surprise, Tammy! I was reading along, totally enjoying every photo of your bath redo, see the name "Dru" but it doesn't register, scroll down and it hits me! lol Thanks so much for the sweet compliment. I love what you've done with your bath. Isn't it nice to do a total make-over at no expense? Just a lot of style and elbow grease. It's lovely!
Blessings from the Farmhouse,
Dru

I love it! I really like the white/off-white colors that you are changing up to. I'm growing tired of the "prim colors" lately and would like to go to more neutrals in my home.
