Okay, The Joke’s Over – Now Give Me Back Southern IL Weather! (Plus A Chair Redo)

APP ~Tammy

Someone give me a baseball bat and point me in the direction on Jack Frost!

No, I’m not prone to violence, but sometime one can be pushed too far.

And I think Old Man Winter has just about pushed me to my limit.

This is NOT Southern Illinois weather.

Look at what we woke up to this morning….

YUCK!

I guess I shouldn't complain too much, my sister in St. Peters, MO. got 10”.

Who am I kidding, yes, I should complain.

Any snow in March, is too much! :|

I went through my previous previous blog posts and look at my post from a year ago today….

It was so nice outside that my snowball bush was fully in bloom and I had went out and cut a bunch of them for my baskets.

Look out the window at the GREEN!!!

I want that!

I need that!!

I am starting to agree with my daughter, I don't think winter is ever going to end.

Well, that's enough of my weather rant for the day.

I thought I would also share a chair I redo I did yesterday.

To be honest, I have never recovered a piece of furniture before.

I’m sure I didn't do it correctly, but it turned out looking pretty good to me.

All I did was remove the seat from the chair.

Removed the top layer of fabric and sat it on a piece of fabric to make sure I cut a large enough piece.

Then sat the cushion down on the fabric.

(I may be crazy but I love that old green fabric that was under there.  Wish it wouldn't have been all torn up!)

APP ~Tammy

I began folding up the sides and stapling them into place.

Walla!

Newly covered cushion.

I put the chair in my master bath.

You may have noticed, I also repainted my tub board a couple of weeks ago.

No more mustard yellow.  Now it is an antique white.

Sorry for the poor quality of the photos.

The sun was shining in so brightly from the snow, it made the whole room come out looking yellow.

This is why I prefer to take my pictures at night.

Any who!

Here are a few more shots of the space.

Hi Tammy, I sure hope all of you that are suffering from cabin fever and bad weather get some Spring weather soon.
I was wishing that the snow would take a wrong turn and end up here in Arizona for awhile =)

Love seeing all that you have done and all of your wonderful treasures!

Love your bathroom, great decorating, love the white board for the tub, and I love the size of your bathroom, mines the size of a postage stamp. Chair turned out really neat, love those kind of chairs you can change the chair cushion. As for winter, can't it just stop, no snow, but windy and way to cold to be out side. Thanks for sharing, Vicky

OMG!!! I am so jealous of that big beautiful bathroom!! My bathroom is so small and we only have one bath in our small cottage style home!! We are trying to redo it, got to get the hubby motivated to get it done. We bought lots of supplies a week ago but have not started on the bathroom remodle yet! I did get him to paint all the indoor doors this past weekend!!
Please keep sharing your decorating pics and tips with us!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Lynn

Love your chair makeover, Tammy. And your bath is so prim beautiful! I love it! I can't wait until we get to redo our master bath. I have a claw foot tub on my list...we'll have to see about that.

How's the house selling going?

We haven't gotten any snow this year, but spring still hasn't arrived. It's just cold and rainy! Please come spring...for all of us! :)

Blessings,
Tammy
