What A Difference A Week Makes…

APP ~Tammy

Well, Life threw us another curve ball this week!

I’m not going to go into the details about it right now.

Mainly because I don’t feel like thinking about it and secondly because who cares.

Life is what it is.

It did however push me to the point where I said, Enough is Enough!

I’m Done!

So, I called a realtor friend of mine and as of Thursday there is a sign in my front yard.

I’m not going to obsess about it this time though.

I’m truthfully not.

Last time it consumed pretty much all of my life.

I’m keeping in OCD in check this time!! :)

I’m not going to post about viewings.

I’m not going to post about houses we view.

Not because I don’t want to share, it is because I don’t want that to be what my life is about.

APP ~Tammy

Last time, I was like some crazy woman!!

I seriously couldn't think about anything else.

This time, I’m just going to carry on with my life like normal.

Well, as normal as it can be.

When it sells, it sells.

I am not even going to worry about about buying another one.

We did that last time and we would find ones we wanted, only to watch them sell before we were able to buy.

So, no more of that.

I told Brett, we are going to find some place to rent for 6 month to a year.

Let our emotions settle, before starting on looking for another home.

I don't want to rush into something, because of the feeling “we have to find something”.

I’ll let you all know if or when it’s sold, but other than that I don't think I’ll say much about it.

I don't want this to turn into a stressful place.

Where all I talk about is the woes of this house.

I feel like it got that way last time.

My life is much more than that.

And to be honest…

Who Cares!

Seriously.

I have stressed over this silly house for years.

I’m done.

Time to move on to the next chapter in my life.

And the way I see it, The Sooner The Better.

*I will, however, happily accept any prayers you all want to send our way.

I can definitely always use those. :)

Now onto better things…

Last week I was able to get the first of my 2013 Pay It Forward packages mailed out.

Tiff @ Folded Gingham was the first to sign up, so I sent her package out first.

She made a blog post yesterday sharing what I sent.

So, now I can share her gift with all of you.

I sent her one of my burlap teddy bears.

Tiff, I am so glad you and Mason liked Miss Teddy. :)

Thanks so much for joining in on the PIF.

One last thing before heading off to start lunch.

Remember the shelf in the dining room that I said needed to be lighter?

Well, I decided to change it to the gray color that I painted the cupboard.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

I also changed the display above it.

The box I had up there was way too big.

I think this sampler fits the space better.

Try to ignore the smudged light switch cover.

Stupid brass.

These were on my list to change out, guess I wont have to fool with that now. ;)

Well, That’s it for me today.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit with me.

Take Care and Talk Soon,

Tammy

Good afternoon Tammy, Well whatever the situation, it seems you have a wonderful outlook about it. Just keep your faith that God's will to be done. Anywhere you might move can be made into a wonderful loving home. Will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers. Love the bear. One lucky family who received it. Have a blessed weekend.

So sorry that whatever occurred has led to this decision Tammy, moving and house hunting are stressful times in your life so go ahead and vent, we don't mind! Sending lots of positive thoughts that your house sells quickly for a great price and that you can find your 'forever home' when you are ready. Love your redo of the shelf, it looks wonderful. Deb

Sounds like God is on the move. I believe that once we get to a place where he can work and we stop, it always goes smoothly. I pray Jesus will continue to give you His Peace t get you through this.

Sending lots of prayers your way! Please pray for Nick. He is our youngest son and needs to return to college in Kansas tomorrow but we are in the middle of a big snow storm. He flies to OKC because of the cost. So please pray all goes well and he returns safely.
I have been absent most of the week so I want to know more about the Pay It Forward. I love that!
I enjoy your blog because of the way you write. Those of us that do not have big fancy expensive homes can not fathom the experiences some share on their blogs. I like your style and have always enjoyed my visits. I will pray for your housing situation and you keep creating your wonderful style you so beautifully display here.
Hugs Anne

Aw, Tammy I know exactly how you feel. This has been an adventure. I am at the place I don't stress at all about it. If it sells okay and if it doesn't I am happy too.I am in a win win situation. I pray you will feel the same way. I do hate having to keep the floors mopped and the appliances shiny!

I know selling a house is soooooo stressful! It has been 13 years since we bought our house..we had furniture to fit a 1200 sq ft house and now this 2500 sq ft house is full. I told my husband that when we move again we will have an estate sale. My daughter and SIL sold their home in FL last year..and I hope I never have a realtor like this when I do sell my house..she told them to remove everything on the walls, kitchen counters, get a smaller kitchen trash bin and hid it, pack up all her pottery (she collects and has a lot)..well you get the idea. The realtor brought in simple pictures for the walls. It looked like a hotel room.
I am having nothing but good thoughts, wishes and prayers that it happens soon for you.
Have a wonderful week.
Maxie
p.s. it sold in 5 weeks

Tammy, best of luck with the sale of your home. You will be in my prayers. I love your primitive decor. Wanting to do more of that in our basement. I told hubby that the basement will be more my taste than the upstairs is. lol! Your teddy is absolutely precious! What a sweet gift.
