More News And Big Lots Finds

APP ~Tammy

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little of your day with me.

As I was saying in my previous post, so many things going on in my life right now and so many changes.

It is exhilarating  and exhausting all at the same time!

Kortney got her first job.

She took a part time job at the bank with Kelsey.

Through the Summer she will be working more hours but once college starts up she will only be working a 4 hours a day.

Which is more than enough with being a full time student.

She likes the idea of having her own money, but she sure has been worn out lately.

Mitchell is taking a Coal Mining course at the local college.

I am not sure how I feel about him being a coal miner because it is a dangerous job, but like I told him,

“Coal Mining is in your blood.”

Both Brett and I had  Great-Grandpa’s, Grandpa’s, and Fathers that were Coal Miners.

Not to mention our Uncles and even Brett’s Mom was one.

So yes, it definitely is in Mitch’s blood-line.

Brett did a Summer internship at the mines when he was in college and hated it.

But I told Mitchell, you might not.  You might love it.

“If you want to do it, Go For It.  You will never know until you try.”

I have opened an antique booth at a New local Antique Mall.

Rosebud Antique Mall

4451 Herrin Road,

Carterville, Illinois 62918

It is located on the Herrin-Colp road.

Past the Herrin Elementary.

On the corner as you turn toward Colp.

*The old feed store building.

If you are in the area be sure to pop in.

It is a Very Nice Place.

Clean, Bright, Organized and Spacious!

One of the nicest antique malls around.

I am Booth 12.

If interested, I believe there are some booth still available.

Very Reasonable monthly rent!

Half of what I was paying at the previous place, for the same size booth.

With working on trying to clear out the house, I am planning on opening another booth soon.

Maybe somewhere different to spread out.

I am thinking St. Mary’s MO., but I cant decide if I want to drive that far.

The one above is less than 5 minutes from my house, I love that.

Did you notice the header photo?

The adorable canisters and pitcher can be found at Big Lots!

$7 each.

The metal basket came from there also.

I believe it was $6.00.

I love the fact that the enamel was made to look old with little worn spots here and there.

I have these in the corner on my kitchen cabinets.

They aren't very tall so I sat them on top an old wooden box.

Recently I found these flower frogs at a local antique mall.

APP ~Tammy

Not really sure what I am going to do with them yet but for the price, they had to come home with me.

I have done a little changing to the dining room.

I took the folk art print wallpaper down off of one wall and replaced it with the bead board wall paper.

Then I painted it the same shade as the wall.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

I like it.

I thought about doing the same to the wall with the window, but with the house situation I don't think I’m going to start it.

Plus it took Forever to get the previous wall paper off.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

What house situation??

Well, we might have it sold.

The lady really wants it, she is just trying to work out the financial stuff with the bank.

We’ll see, I guess.

Right now, I’m all for living one day at time and letting tomorrow take care of itself!

I guess that is all from me, for now.

Thanks again for stopping by and visiting with me.

Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend.

Take Care and Talk Soon,

Tammy

Hi Tammy, I so love visiting your blog and seeing all your goodies and the changes you make in your home. You are one talented and busy lady. Love the items from Big Lot. Have been eyeing them, but don't have much space in my kitchen. Yours look great the way you have them displayed. Would love to visit your booth. Looks neat. Have a great weekend.

Hi Tam ! I saw the same set at Big Lots here in Morehead City, NC. I bought the Utensil crock. It is stored away right now because we have sold our house and moved! Your booth looks amazing. I like having a booth too, it enables me to move some things through my house as well. Don't give up on selling. We have tried off/on for 8 years, and then out of the blue...BAM!

I had wallpaper once, and swore I would never use it again! I love the beadboard look you have with this wallpaper though. It looks very nice.

Hi Tammy,
Your booth looks great!! I've been checking to see if we have any places around here that have booths to rent.
I saw those canisters at our Big Lots, but not the pitcher. Might have to go back to see if they have it in stock now.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the sale of your house with happen.
hugs,
Cindy

Oh Tammy, if it is to be it will. My fingers crossed and prayer said. I have had lookers but no takers. One woman wanted it but would have to build on and can't afford it. Oh well in Gods time.
