Playing Catch Up :)

Hello Everyone!

What a beautiful day it is today here in Southern Illinois.

I need to be outside doing something.

But I haven't had much time lately for my blog, so I figured I better take advantage of this rare free time to check in with everyone.

Life is pretty much the same.  The days are flying by.

I have spent a lot of time junkin’, working on my booths, and still trying to clear out the house.

I did a little tweaking on my first booth.

Here’s a little peek..

This is my old screen door I bought a little back at a flea market for display.

The chicken wire top was already on it, they had it over the old screen.

Why? Who knows.

I liked it because I knew I could use it for hanging goodies.

The old screen portion had to go though, it was too nasty.

Which left an open section.

I decided to paint a piece of plywood with chalkboard paint and attach it to the door.

I think it turned out kind of cute. :)

My second booth still needs quite a bit of tweaking but when I finally give finished, I’ll be sure to share.

We were lucky enough to have wonderful weather on the 4th.

Brett and I walked over the park and enjoyed some of the day.

The Canadian Geese have migrated in, like they do every year.

There have been times, I have looked out my back window and seen 100’s of them hanging out in my back yard.

Today they are enjoying the park pond and the bread Brett brought to feed them.

It amazed me how they weren’t really afraid of us.

Well, as long as I held Lucy in my lap.

Every time I put her down they would start hissing.

I also never knew Geese Hiss, but they do! :)

That evening Brett, Kortney and I sat outside in our back yard and enjoyed the city firework display.

They shoot them off at the city park.

That is one of the things I love about where we live, we always have a front row seat and don't have to worry about finding a place to park.

A couple of weeks ago, we had my Grandma’s burial.

The family gathered together for a barbeque at my Mom and Dads before heading over to Grandma’s to say our final goodbyes.

Here is a family photo taken in my Gram’s back yard.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy  I wish everyone could have been in the photo.

Not pictured:

My BIL Scott (Taking the picture)

Brett, My Dad and Mitchell (They had to work).

And my cousins youngest daughter.

My grandpa would have Loved seeing us all together and how much this little family as grown!

I love this next photo it is of Me, My sister, My daughters, and My nieces.

Kelsey makes me giggle, the way she’s trying to peek up over Erin. :)

Speaking of Kelsey, she goes in a couple of weeks for another sonogram and finds out the sex of the baby.

I keep telling her, I already Know what it is.

A boy!

I just know.  To this she either ignores me and says I’m jinxing it!

I sure hope I’m right or I’m going to be eating crow for quite awhile. :0

I have been working on fixing up a baby room here at our house.

I have gotten so many wonderful things at yard sales this season.

And at amazing prices!

A baby swing, a bouncy seat, a bath seat, a jumperoo, Tons and Tons of baby clothes.

I also lucked into furniture.

A Primitive Place ~ Tammy

This is such a pretty set.

Dresser, changing table, baby bed that turns into a toddler bed.

I love that even though it isn't old, it has an old design appeal to it.

I was saying that I think that changing table could be turned into a fabulous dry sink when the baby doesn't need it any longer.

It is insane the amount to baby stuff that can be found at Yard Sales.

I'm piling it up while I can, then after Kelsey’s baby shower, anything she didn't get, she can come get from here.

Well, that is pretty much all I have to share for now.

I have to be heading out to go pick up Kortney from work.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit with me.

Take Care and Talk Soon,

Tammy

What a neat booth you have. We just got back from Il and antiqued there and back. The reason they had chicken wire over the screen. Screen is hard to put in, but easy to push out, so they covered it with chicken wire to make it stronger. sometimes it would just be where you would"push" the screen door open.

I'm taking a survey of folks whose blogs I admire! Here's the thing....we redid our kitchen with dark barn red cabinets. Now we have to replace an appliance and I don't know whether to buy black, stainless or white. What we currently have is bisque but they stopped making that color. So we must start with something new. Any suggestions....even from your posters??? Thanks so much!
